looove these boots,

I have these boots in the light brown and I absolutely love them!! They are sooo warm for the winter and they are really comfortable, I wear them everywhere. I actually just order a pair in black. When you first put them on some of the fur will come out but I think its only excess once you wear them a few times it doesn't shed and the more you wear it the more comfortable it becomes. I would definitely recommend these boots! I take a size 9.5 but I ordered them in a 9 and they fit perfectly so I would recommend going .5 a size smaller.

i bought these in a chestnut size 9 M. they run pretty big though because i usually wear a 9 or 9.5 and mine are definitely too large. i should have gotten an 8. so if you are like me and wear say, a 7 or 7.5, you will want to round down to a 6. it will totally change the experience of wearing this boot if you buy it too large so beware. but that aside, they are comfortable and have a very nice arch support and a good thick sole, but not so thick that it looks unsightly. great value for the price, they definitely last

I bought these after doing some internet research on that style boots. In my opinion they are more durable, and comfy than the UGGS and at half the cost. They run a little bit smaller than UGGS, which is good since they only come in whole sizes,(UGGS run huge by the way). The only notable difference is that UGGS Sheepskin lining is more fluffy. The lining in EMU's that I bought are wool, which is just as insolating as sheepskin; just not as fluffy. Overall they are great boots!!

These Brontes are great for the price. The inside is a thick, soft, white, merino wool (not w/sheep's fur left on, so no dyes to stain socks, stockings or feet!) Not at all itchy & VERY warm (even warmer than the full shearling ones!) Many reviewers said to size down - but if you don't have narrow feet, and are buying for warmth and/or planning on thick socks - consider carefully w/this model. (One reason for cold feet is tighter boots that don't allow enough room for pockets of warm air to be trapped around your feet.) I have slightly wider feet and normally wear 6 1/2 to 7 and ordered down to a 6 based on reviews etc. I thought the 6 was a little too snug even w/thin or no socks and considering break-in (wool probably compacting) so exchanged to 7 (my "normal" size) - they're fine w/or w/o socks and after 2 mo. of wear.
I had ordered the (non-premium) button side style on sale first, thinking maybe they would be easier to tuck pants in. I have a wider calf and they did not button well even w/out pants tucked in, so had to send back. They were cute though if you have thinner legs. (They were also snug on the foot in a 6) The more expensive Stinger model also went on sale, so ordered those too based on reviews. (so I got 2 pairs of boots for way less than 1 pair of uggs) The Stinger Hi is also great...as one reviewer said; "much softer" leather w/the sheep's fur left on - heaven on the feet. The Stinger does seem to run bigger and wider; and also being softer, the 7's in the Stinger are quite a bit sloppier than the 7's in the Bronte. So, probably should've gone down to 6's in the Stinger. Even though the Bronte leg opening measurement is supposed to be bigger than the Stinger, the Stinger also seems to be looser on the leg even when new. I have been wearing one or the other every day, all day for about 2 months now so here's the report: The Bronte is a great boot overall - they're cheaper and warmer than the Stinger (and "other" sheepskin boots!) Brontes are a stiffer leather (not too stiff though) than the Stinger; so if you don't like your sheepskins too sloppy, and flopping and puddled around your ankles after they break in, these are a great choice. If you don't mind paying more and want a softer more traditional Australian sheepskin boot, get the Stinger (or other "premium" Emu style) but probably size down. The soles on both (and other brands) do feel a little weird at first (planky as one person said), but break in pretty quickly. Both styles are warm, (but feet don't sweat) comfortable, have better support and soles than most of the other brands out there. Both also fit my wider calves, where many other boots are tight or don't fit at all. Hope that helps. Btw: (even over the holiday period) Amazon's regular and exchange shipping and processes were fantastic throughout - fast (few days), accurate and efficient!

I agree with others about the size, they do run bigger. I already knew that by reading previous reviews so made sure to order smaller in US size. Normally wear 7-1/2 and ordered 7, still a little large but expected for this style of boot. Also, you might want to spray them with water repellant cause they are not water resistant. All in all, great boot, great price.. enjoy!

Very Satisfied!,

These boots were well represented in the product description. I am in LOVE with them! I think the price was right and love how they feel on my wide feet! They don't make me feel like I will slip in the snow and yet the tread is such that I can stamp my feet and wipe them on the entry rug after having walked through snow and the bottoms are dry enough to continue into my home without removing them!!! They also keep my feet nice and warm. I think for the price that they are an excellent buy! Maybe some day I'll try the $200 boots...... But for now, these guys are some of the most awesome boots I've worn, and I'm 42 years old!

First of all, we don't have alot of money and when I bought these they were only $43. I have to pay them off, but it is worth it. The boots have good shape-unlike other brands they do not bend in the toe making a crinkly look. The heel is kind of slippery when walking around, so either wear socks or you just get used to it. When worn barefoot (like I am right now), they tend to feel itchy after a while. But if you are a tuck-in-your-jeans kind of girl, then tuck in your jeans. Or else you might be scratching yourself all day.
The top of the boot: If you are one of those REALLY skinny people, I would not recommend this boot. I think that EMU has planned for the bigger person, not the smaller. The part of the boot that goes over your leg is not that loose on me, since I am average size. But on some people, your boots will feel loose and not very warm. I also want to warn you how long they. I have long legs (for my age) and they go about 3 inches below my knee. The shorter your legs, the longer the boot will be. If this is the case, just aim for the lo boot. If you are tiny and you have boots that literally go up to your knees, you are going to look just weird. I also want to say that these are pretty hard to roll down, and when done, look messy anyway, because of the merino wool. Merino wool looks like the actual wool you would find on a sheep. It appears matted and messy, as opposed to the "yarn" material in Uggs. One thing that I know people obsess about: how much fur is actually inside the boot where your toe is. In my boot, there was not alot of wool, but since the actual bottom and material of the shoe are so thick, it competely makes up. Also, unlike other shoes, when the wool has been stepped on and kind of flattened out, it is easy to make it "puffy" again. Just by moving you feet or hands in the opposite direction. From other reviews, I have read that there is alot of arch support-this I do not know, seeing as I have literally no arch AT ALL. But they don't feel like converses-they do fill up that space in your feet, and it feels wonderful. The bottom of the shoe: Other brands have this kind of foamy material all the way through (including Uggs), which tends to get torn up very quickly and kind of tears apart way too fast. But EMUs (all styles, I'm pretty sure) have a very sturdy foam like that in the center, but the on the very edge on the bottom, there is a layer of hard plastic material. At the heel of the boot, this plastic curves off into full plastic, as it does also at the toe. So no matter how you walk (toe to heel, heel to toe), your boots will not fall apart. Underneath the layer of plastic is also the EMU label printed over and over on the bottom, giving even more grasp to layers of ice or whatever underneath. If you want to see a picture of this, either look at this product on Amazon, or go to google and type in 'EMU boots'. Sooner or later you will find a photo showing a close up of the sole. I think that whoever designed this is amazing, and that these boots are of EXTREMELY high quality. One more thing: if you have narrow feet, this is not a good buy. I have really wide feet and these fit perfectly. The only real problem is the heel slipping, but that leaves room for next winter when my feet have grown some more(my feet will NEVER stop growing!). Anyway, ignore all those people that say this boot is ugly because they don't know what they are talking about. My boots look even better in real life than on the picture! I used to want Uggs, but these were a quarter of the price and much better quality. I have tried on Uggs before (though I don't own any) and I would say that these are definitely much better! I ordered from Amazon and it was awesome. I ordered them on a Saturday night, and the arrival date was supposed to be Thursday. Everyday I came home from school anticipating seeing that box on my porch. The boots arrived on Friday, one day late, but I can't blame them since we just a had a blizzard. Plus it came free with Super Saver Shipping, so that was awesome! My friend's sister ordered Uggs from another online shopping site over a week ago, and she still hasn't received them! I am so pleased with my boots AND Amazon! Great buy! Also: all that you hear about sizes running big, believe it. I am usually an 8, 8.5, or 9. I decided to order an 8, which I thought I was growing out of, but I still have room to grow! I have no idea why anyone would spend $200 on Uggs, when you can get these or Stingers for half the price! Unless you are just spoiled rotten. These are amazing boots and I am wearing mine everywhere. This is a list of my other boots: my $12 black ones from Wal-Mart, my brown knit ones from Claires($10!!), and my big clunky snow boots. I ordered these in chesnut and I am so excited to actually have real quality boots! Sorry this is so long, but this boot is the BEST and I want everyone to know it. I will be ordering more boots from this brand ASAP!!! And you should, too.

I originally ordered these boots for myself - size 9 M - slightly smaller than my 9.5 M shoe size. I also ordered another pair of size 9 EMU at the same time because of a special purchase opportunity. The other pair (different style) fit perfectly but these boots were too big for me. They instead fit my 14 yr-old daughter very well (she wears a 10.5 M) and she liked them so much she ordered another pair in a different color! These were definitely worth the money. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the sizing - order at least 1 size smaller than you usually wear.

I just received these boots yesterday and tried them on. I usually wear size 7 1/2 but I ordered 7 and they hit perfectly. They are very comfortable for walking.
