This is my second pair of Emu boots. I could justify buying two pair because the price is so good! I was afraid these might be too clunky looking, but they aren't at all bulky. They are very warm and comfortable, and I can easily wear them all day. Also very warm. I would agree with all the reviewers that say to order these boots a size smaller. I wear a 9 and ordered an 8. At first they seemed a little tight, but they did stretch after wearing them in the house for one night, and they fit just fine now. I'm really glad I did not order them in a nine. I also bought the pair that tie on the side, and I really like those too! Great boots at a great price.

I read the reviews about how big figured since I am a solid size 7 that ordering a size smaller would make them too small. Well, I should have ordered the 6, as these are easily an entire size too big if not more. I hate to bother with sending things back though, so I kept them. They are comfortable enough but I'm wondering how long they will hold up. The sole is already starting to wear down and I wear them mostly around the house.

The reason they are so big is because they come in men's sizes. American men's and women's shoe sizes are not the same. UMU boots come from Australia, and in Australia men's and women's sizes are the same. So you would compare Austalia's shoe size to American men's shoe size. So whatever your shoe size is in womens, you would come down two shoe sizes, and that will be your shoe size in a guy's shoe. So I am a size 9 in a women's shoe and a 7 in a guy's shoe. Im not a big fan of UGG boots. They are pretty unattractive, but I love the wonderfully warm shearpa lining and decided to give EMU's a try. They are just as well made as UGGS but the styling is much nicer.
I initially purchased the lighter color on sale for 55.00 at [...] and loved the boots so much, I wanted to purchase them in black, but the sale was over and they were back up to 79.00. (they are over a hundred dollars on other web sites) I searched the web for the best price, and found an even lower price here on Amazon (41.00) A great buy for a beautiful pair of warm boots! Some helpful info....these boots run a full size larger. I wear a 9, and ordered them in an 8 after reading the reviews, and they fit perfectly with a little room to wear a sock without it being too snug. They are lined from the top of the boot all the way through to the toe. The calf is not too wide, not too snug...(I have average calves) just right for tucking in leggings. Mine have a flared bottom and still fit well without looking 'stuffed' into the boot. (I am sure jeans would tuck in easily too.) They are also advertised as waterproof but I havent had an opportunity to find out how they are in wet weather yet. The top can be worn up, or folded down to show the shearpa lining...a great look either way.

If you like the look of UGGS without the 'ugly', you'll love these boots! Happy Holidays everyone!

UPDATE ON THESE BOOTS: Im sad to say that these boots didnt work out so well afterall. A button looped broke on the first pair. I love the style so much, I contacted Amazon for an exchange. To their credit, Amazon was extremely accommodating, issuing a UPS pick and sending me out a brand new pair. Within three wearings, the exact same thing happened to the second pair. I was hoping I just had a defective pair the first time, but now I realize its all in the workmanship. I dont know whether those button loops are glued onto the boot or sewn, but either way, the attachment is weak, and any resistance will pop the loop off. Beautiful boot, and terrific in every other way, but its basically useless if you cant keep it closed. I am going to try the Bronte/Stringer pull on design because I love EMU boots, but the workmanship on this particular design is in real need of improvement. I wonder if the more expensive boot in this design, Paddington, is made better. Anyone know?

these are my third pair of emu's && i absolutely LOVE THEM!! they are so comfy && cute! i have 3 different styles. . .much better price than other brands like uggs. i don't see a difference in quality except for the price difference. i personally adore them && wouldn't pay more for uggs. :)

I LOVE these boots-they are my first pair of emu boots. High quality and yes they do run big-I wear a tennis shoe size 8 and dress shoe 9. After reading the reviews I ordered a 7 and they are perfect. Speedy service too.

After reading the other reviews about how these run large, I ordered a 6M(I normally wear a 7). But they were too small. I had to return them for a 7M and I ended up ordering the ones that tie instead

This is my second pair of EMU boots. I also own the Hip boot. I actually prefer these. They are warm, comfortable, and provide enough arch support that I can wear them for a full day of teaching. I receive many compliments every time I wear them. If you do not want to spend the money on UGGS-get a pair of EMUs. I wear a size 9 and I ordered a size 7 they fit perfectly-however I do not wear socks and I prefer my shoes to be snug. Another plus for these is that even with large calves and boot cut jeans I can still tuck my jeans into the boot and the boots are not too tight!!

I really liked the boots but the fit is EXTREMELY large. I ordered my normal size 10 and had to send them back for the 9 and now i wonder i could have fit the 8?

I wear a women's size shoe and had read the EMU boots ran large. I decided to order the size 6 which was still too large. I don't know if the size 5 would be too small. Otherwise, seems to be a great boot.
