I love these boots for my wide calves! I have Uggs and Chookas, and both fit too snugly to easily fit jeans inside. But since these boots wrap and tie, I am able to slide jeans in with no problem. It's not just the side opening that's helpful for wearing them this way. Overall, they seem to be a more generous fit through the upper foot, ankle, and calf. The only downside to this is that my size 8 feet are a little small for the size 8 boots I got. But the great color, fun ties, and high quality sheepskin merino and outsole more than make up for it! A great boot at a great price. I am going to buy my sister a pair!

These are better than both pair of Uggs I own. They are half the price I paid for my Uggs. The quality is equal. The sizing is far better with less confusion. Order your regular size. These do NOT run almost two sizes large as Uggs do. This style is absolutely hot with pants or without'em. (On the leg) if you have an average calf, these do not close from about half way up. If you want a long full coverage boot, this is not for you.

The style is cute in theory, but I had some issues with the boots themselves and decided to take them back. The strings are the only thing holding the boot closed, so the top of the boot is loose. As a result, they look a little bit sloppy. The ties are not as sturdy as I was expecting, so not only did they not hold the boot together tightly but I was also afraid that they would have broken eventually. As everyone has said the boots do run big, but I find the width not the length to be too big.

I`m not a big fan of that kind of shoes but ordered them because they looked comfy and warm - perfect for winter everyday shoes. And I wasn`t disappointed - great looking, real merino wool, suede upper... But they run the whole size bigger, i got size 8 (i`m usually 8,5) but i`d better ordered 7.

I live in Vermont and my boots are challenged by some of the most severe weather in the U.S.A.so I have high expectations. WELL..........they are GREAT! Warm, comfortable, easy to keep clean, I dont slip in them on any surface, i.e., ice, slush,snow, and best of all, everywhere I go, people ask me where I got them? They love them too!

After last winter I knew I wanted some Ugg boots. My husband agreed to let me spend that much and so I started researching which pair I wanted. I happened across a picture of the EMU hip boot in chocolate brown and fell in love. I have always thought the Ugg boots weren't very attractive but these are SO unique looking and WAY cheaper. I went ahead and ordered them thinking you will get what you pay for (since these were WAY cheaper) but was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. I LOVE these boots and will wear them all winter...I even ordered another style in a different color! These are well made and very comfy. A nice alternative to the expensive Ugg!

I LOVE these boots!!! They are the most comfortable boots/shoes I've ever owned and they are so cute and stylish!!( I'm super picky with the looks and quality of my shoes) I bought these Hip boots in the sand color and it goes with pretty much everything! You can really be creative and mixed it up with lots of different styles! But I like them best with my jeans tucked in and I get compliments every time I have them on. The size do run big, I am a size 7 but got these in size 5. I live in Europe and we walk a lot here, these shoes are definitely made for walking!! I am thinking about getting these boots in another color just because I like them so much and I'd wear them every chance I can during the winter. I do wear them w/out socks like they say you're suppose to...and it keeps my feet warm, dry and just so happy and comfy in the winter (and summer).

These are high quality and well worth the money. The attention to detail and overall presentation that Emu puts in their product is refreshing (the hang tag is sheepskin and shearling). I am very pleased.

I went through much contemplation about ordering these. I don't usually buy apparel/shoes online and the confusion with the sizing didn't help with this. But Amazon's customer service was great about clearing up everything. For your reference, the difference between M and US sizing is the "M" is like a 7, "US" is like a 7.5. I would recommend ordering a 1/2 smaller than you wear normally.

these boots are extremely comfortable and warm there is no doubt about that, but the ties are very annoying. I didn't think it would bother me at first which is why I purchased them, but once I wore them a few times, man oh man. It takes me 5 minutes to put on each shoe. Since they do have the ties they can adjust to any sized calves or even to any cut of jeans. You won't have a problem tucking in your jeans to these. The boots look great though and are very high quality, which they should be for the high end price. Overall great boots, but tedious. If you are ok spending 10 minutes to put on your shoes then you won't have a problem with the ties on these boots. They seem to fit true to size as well, but be careful with the australian shoe sizes. I am typically a size 8 1/2 and I bought a size 8M and they fit perfectly.

Due to unusual circumstances (I'm traveling), I have worn these boots all day every single day for three months. They are fabulous! Believe it or not, they look just as good as the day I received them!! There are no signs of wear!! They have held up far far better than I could have hoped for, and far better than any Uggs I've owned. I wear them tied with the flap up, and I am constantly stopped and complimented on them. SIZING: I typically wear a woman's size 7 shoe. I ordered a size 6 boot. They fit GREAT with bare feet - definitely not too tight at all. After three solid months of wear, they've actually stretched a little bit, but nothing that an added insole won't cure. I would DEFINiTELY order a size smaller than your normal shoe size. I think they are an excellent buy at this price - you won't be disappointed.
