Excellent Boots!,

These boots are an awesome buy! :) They are super comfortable and warm as promised.
I am usually a size 7 1/2, so I wasn't sure rather to round up or down a size at first. I decided to go with an 8, and I am very satisfied with the decision. If you are a 1/2 size as well, I would recommend rounding up a size if you are going to tuck your jeans inside; round down a size if not. I was also concerned with the height of the boot as well. But once I purchased these boots and wore them out in the snow, I realized that they were a perfect height! They hit above the ankle a bit on me. I also HIGHLY recommend spraying these with a waterproofing spray before you go out in the snow. It works well! :)

I just received my boots yesterday and they are better than I could have expected. The outside is a soft suede and the 100% Merino wool interior is warm and very comfy. I would definately recommend these!
Update 12/5/08 - I just got back from a week in New Hampshire and these boots rocked. On the first night we got about a foot of snow and my feet stayed warm and cozy the entire time. I had brought another *cheap* pair of boots with me and they bit the dust quickly. These boots are pretty water proof, but I would suggest using a spray on suede protector/water proofer to protect the boot from salt stains and slush puddles. These boots do run large, so I would order a size down unless you plan on wearing very thich socks. And as another reviewer commented the wool lining is alittle "messy" looking at the top (it doesn't shed- it's a tad long at the top). I would, without hesitation, recommend these boots. Update 1/30/09 - These are still my favorite boots - they are like wearing slippers all day. There are times I will wear these instead of my slippers. I have to report that the bottom of the sole has started to seperate from both boots in the back. Hopefully nothing alittle glue won't fix! Otherwise they still look new. I would still (maybe with some hesitation - depending on how much you spend on them - I got mine on sale) recommend these boots.

These boots are so comfortable and warm. It is like wearing your slippers out. I wore them out this weekend when the wind chills were in the teens and my feet were toasty warm. I would definetly recommed these boots , definetley worth every penny!

I just got these in the mail and I love them~! I got them in orchid pink, very cute, the color is nice for something different. I got them for only $30 and you can't beat that. I bought these because I liked that they were about ankle length, they are easy to get on and off when I'm running out the door. They keep my feet warm and are very soft. Yes its not cashmere in there, I'm sure the Uggs are softer but they are also what--100-150$ more>? Yeah not worth it to me. The opening at the top is fairly wide but that doesn't bother me too much, they still stay on like normal. These DEFINITELY run large. I wear a 9-9 1/2 and I bought an 8. They fit perfect and I know they will loosen up over time as do all boots like these once the wool gets pushed down a little. If you want a good quality boot--get these! They won't break the bank and are very functional and cute. Perfect for those awful winters.

Everyone seems to swear by the comfort of their shearling booties, but I couldn't bring myself to pay for Uggs. I was hoping for quality materials without a name-brand surcharge.
The relaxed ankle fit of this model really appealed to me. I intended them as slippers and for long car trips, so outdoor use was limited. One month later the bottom sole is splitting from the middle layer on the toe and heel of each boot. What a disappointment.

As someone who wanted a good looking non-Ugg boot at a reasonable price, these were a good choice. So many of the Ugg knockoffs are sort of unattractive, but these have a nice style, and the materials seem to be of quality. The sole is skid resistant, and although the wool lining may not be as plush as it is in Uggs, they are warm. The wool does start to look a little sloppy at the top of the boot, but I always wear them with my jeans out around them so no one sees it but me.

No comparison to Uggs,

I was really excited when I placed the order for these cute boots. As far as aesthetics, they are really cute! The color is as pictured (I got the sand color). However, I own a pair of Uggs and there is NO COMPARISON. The lambswool lining is not soft and plush like Uggs. In fact, when putting my foot into these boots, sometimes little "tufts" of lambswool end up in my hands as I'm shoving my foot in. Even worse, is the sizing issue. I typically wear a 7, my Uggs are a 6, so I ordered 6 on these. Can you believe it - They are still too big for me! My foot lifts constantly and moves around when I walk. I wore these boots for a couple of weeks not thinking anything of the size and then I realized my feet were hurting. They really don't provide good support. My advice: Pay the extra $40 or so dollars and buy Uggs. I sure wish I had!

Ok...,

For the most part these boots are worth it. They run a little big, I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and bought a 7 and they fit perfectly. Because I didn't pay a whole lot for these, I'm not that upset that they weren't what I expected. If you have ever owned a pair of Uggs, you will be dissapointed. The lining isn't nearly as warm or fluffy, and they just aren't quite as comfortable. I was going to buy another pair in the taller version but I think I'll just save my money and wait to buy a pair of Uggs. I will still wear them, but I wanted to have them for the winter when there is slush and snow, but that's not really possible because my feet would freeze anyway...maybe with some real thick socks they would be ok.

I am truly disappointed with Amazon and with EMU. I purchased two pairs of these boots, one for me and one for my daughter, with high expectations. My pair, chocolate 7M, fits perfectly, BUT they were clearly recycled. The bottoms of the shoes had sand and gravel embedded in them and there was hair, clearly not my own, inside the boot. The box was a bit worn, which should have been my first sign.
As for my daughter's boots, they fit perfectly and are actually very comfortable. BUT she wore them twice and I wore them twice and the sole is already tearing away from the base of the shoe. Also, the wool is constantly coming out of the shoe... shedding.. which is very annoying. All in all I think I should have sucked it up and paid the normal price of an Ugg boot. I definitely got what I paid for. Oh, I returned my boots to Amazon and requested a full refund+shipping. I am definitely not at fault for being shipped a pair of previously worn boots! Up until this point I had been very satisfied with Amazon's services. I am truly disappointed.

Cheap Alternative to the Ugg,

I figured when I purchased these they wouldn't be as nice as the Uggs...I was correct. Cons: the wool thins after a couple of wears and sheads around the top of the boot. Pros: a good boot for a lower price and are very warm and the outside seems to handle rugged use very well. I would buy them again for the price that I paid but not the full original price.
