Their sophomore release is a mind blowing masterpiece, layered and rhythmic with strict definitions and timing. These four artists were known individually before forming their power quartet, being ex and current members of Don Caballero, Storm And Stress, Helmet, and Tomahawk.

Another impressive, imaginary, instrumental short-track from the heavy experimenters yields impressive, supremely angular enjoyment at it's short-lived best. Sadly the band has not released a certified long-play (which may or may not be a good thing), but even with their chaotically sublime instrumentation, the language often moves into repeated exercise, diminishing with the ep's long formless, anti-jam center. There is still more then enough to warrant solid ground here, with repeated listens revealing more of these full-throttle movements inking out unmapped terrain somehow making all of this aggressive, atypical notation feel fun and relatively accessible. It is just a shame the group will not further flesh out their sound with a thought out full-length.
