Rap and Lap... March 1, 2012
By Mark
Format:MP3 Download|Amazon Verified Purchase
"Live A Lie" and "Wide Awake" are the most inspiring songs on this EP, but the other two tracks I find to be displeasing to the ears. Thenewno2 has a mood with these two songs that transcends it's style and makes for pleasurable listening. I wish they could have followed in that direction, but...

..."Mr. President" and it's remixed counterpart were not impressive. It was the late great George Harrison who said in an interview that "Rap was just a bunch of crap. They don't even play any instruments." I was expecting more of the latter. Not to mention the music part just sounds like some glitches and distorted noises coming from a Laptop Computer. Some artists are able to pull the Laptop Computer music off pretty well (esp. David Knight) and are able to incorporate their singing into it.
