5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful appliance for household use!
My previous hand-held was a DustBuster cordless vac. As its name implies, in my experience, the only thing it *could* pick up was, well, dust. It was not effective for picking up plant soil, sugar, etc. I needed to upgrade to a stronger appliance.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth $10 extremely noisy and poor battery life
I thought I should not complain about the extreme noise from this vacuum cleaner since it gives out a lot of power. So I lived with that noise for 5 months.

Then, the bad thing happened. Initially I thought the filter is dirty or the motor was giving up. After discharging and recharging the battery, I realized the battery can only last less than a minute. This is only 5...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful appliance for household use!, October 8, 2002
This review is from: Shark EP750M Deluxe Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
My previous hand-held was a DustBuster cordless vac. As its name implies, in my experience, the only thing it *could* pick up was, well, dust. It was not effective for picking up plant soil, sugar, etc. I needed to upgrade to a stronger appliance.

We purchased the Euro-Pro Shark Deluxe Cordless Hand Vacuum about a month ago. I wanted to wait that long before offering my opinion. Well, I am here to say that it is, hands down, one of the best purchases we have made to date!

We live in a condo and found that the Shark is ideal for picking up anything from leaves and dirt...to heavy beads (I had a little accident with my craft kit...the beads were the same dark color as my carpet so I used the Shark to remove them!). And, yes, the Shark does pick up bolts (we wanted to test the commercial!).

We have used this product for cleaning out our car after a beach trip (GREAT with sand!); cleaning the foyer of leaves and dirt, cleaning the stairs of dog hair, cleaning the kitchen of spills, cleaning the bathroom of human hair. Its potential is unlimited!

The suction of this vacuum is 1000 times stronger than the DustBuster! Also, the charge of the DustBuster ran out *very* quickly. The power lasts MUCH longer with the Shark. Unfortunately, I have not timed its usage before charge drainage but I have yet to run out of power while in the middle of cleaning (this consistently happened with the DustBuster).

This Shark model comes with four attachments...all of them useful! It has a large brush, a small brush, a long tube and a small tube. The brushes can be attached to the tubes as extensions or the tubes can be used alone.

All the attachments and the vacuum unit are conveniently stored on a single stand. However, Euro-Pro calls this a 'charging stand.' Once you take the vacuum off the stand, it is almost impossible to get the charging wire back into the vacuum while on the stand. I have to bring the wire over the stand to plug it in. A minor flaw in the stand design but that does not at all take away from the excellent features of the Euro-Pro.

In summary, I would recommend this item to anyone! 5 stars out of 5!

Then, the bad thing happened. Initially I thought the filter is dirty or the motor was giving up. After discharging and recharging the battery, I realized the battery can only last less than a minute. This is only 5 months use - not even daily use. I can't trust Euro-Pro to sell me another battery that will only last 5 months! Disappointing!

I will go get a Eureka 96B.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clean it quick, September 17, 2002

Yep, this is a keeper! I bought this to replace a dustbuster and this beats it hands down. The suction is 3 times that of my old dustbuster and the attachments make it twice as useful. I don't even have to strain my back bending over so far when using the attachments. I was immensely pleased with this product and the fact that I don't have to go over areas twice to get things picked up. Possible drawback- While it can be wall mounted, I wouldn't really recommend it due to it's size (with all the extras). It really blows my old handvac out of the water. Even if it is abit more expensive, it is worth the money. It gets into corners and tight areas that the dustbuster couldn't fit in. I highly recommend this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Corded power....cordless convenience, December 4, 2002
This review is from: Shark EP750M Deluxe Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
I've owned the Shark Deluxe Cordless vac for about 6 months. I am more than pleased. Finally, a cordless with enough power to be really useful and the stamina not to run out of power in 5 minutes. I use this vac daily, in the house, the car and garage, and it has yet to leave me unhappy. I've used it nonstop for over 20 minutes without any noticeable loss of power or performance. The charging caddy is really nice because it stores all the attachments with the unit. Its only downfall is a fairly noisy motor..especially in a small, confined area...like the car.

I ACTUALLY RETURNED THIS ITEM AFTER I USED IT ONLY ONCE. OUT OF THE BOX (AFTER THE FIRST CHARGE) IT DID NOT WORK. I TOOK THE BATTERY COVER OFF AND FOUND THAT ONE OF THE LEADS WAS DISCONNECTED. ONCE I GOT PAST THAT ISSUE I BEGAN USING IT IN OUR KITCHEN. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES THE POWER BEGAN TO DIMINISH. AT FULL CHARGE IT PICKED UP DIRT VERY WELL BUT THE POORLY DESIGNED EXTENSION TUBES KEPT COMING APART. BASICALLY THIS VACUUM NOT AT ALL WHAT I HAD EXPECTED.

1.0 out of 5 stars Believe the battery horror stories!, August 30, 2006
This review is from: Shark EP750M Deluxe Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
This product gets one star, only because I can't give it less. I used this vac one or twice a week, for about five minutes at a crack, each time. The battery showed signs of failure after about 4 months -- by then, I could no longer get even five minutes out of it. Six weeks later (after 5 1/2 months!), the battery is totally dead and the product useless (replacement batteries are expensive, and Shark won't get an opportunity to rip me off twice!).

As others say.. I would have rated this a 0 if I could! After about 6 months the battery is completly dead. 3 months ago the battery started going.. almost unusable! Went to their site... no info on returns, warranty period, etc. You can order another battery for $30.00 though!!! The WORSE handheld vacuum I have EVER bought.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor customer service, September 2, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Shark EP750M Deluxe Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
Initially, after purchasing this hand vac, I was very impressed. The only problem I had was that the unit was difficult to place on the charging stand. But, after about 2 months, the vacuum would not hold a charge and it completely stopped after about 30 seconds. I called customer service and they said they would send me a new battery pack. Boy, was I pleased with that response. Well, that call was almost 2 months ago and I still have not received the battery. I have called two times since after waiting on the phone forever and also sent an email with no response. Replacement bags are not available locally and would have to be ordered through customer service. Help! I don't doubt that someday I will probably receive the battery pack, but will I still be living at the same address or even living at all?

The battery pack is worthless. Everything about it,I have been unhappy with. When I bought it, it had received great reviews. I don't know what those people were thinking.

4.0 out of 5 stars Euro-Pro Shark Vac, November 27, 2002

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Shark EP750M Deluxe Cordless Handheld Vacuum (Kitchen)
Great vacuum: easy to use, easy to mount, good choice of attachments. From spiders on the ceiling to crumbs in the bed, this gadget gets them easily. Much more powerful that the cordless vacs of the past and it doesn't run down quickly. It is noisy, though. We're giving several as holiday presents because we like ours so much.
