I use the Epson K3 inkset with an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 and Moab Entrada N paper. This paper is a matt fine art paper. Source printing is from Photoshop from both digital capture and scanned slides and negatives.
I am entirely satisfied with the results of this combination. Color prints are realistic, saturated and true. B&W prints are neutral & beautiful. Like darkroom (without the dark).

I have had my Epson 2400 printer for 4 years now. Still going strong, produces great pictures. Epson ink is very good. But just like any other inkjet printer. They are making quit a bit of money on the ink. A whole inkset for this printer is $100 at a discounted price. And in the years since it has been out and replaced by a newer updated unit. The price of the ink has not gone down. But what can you do. Once you buy the printer your stuck with buying their ink until you get a differnt printer.
