I checked out all 46 reviews for this chair on [...] where it received 4.7 out of 5.. And that was the best of any chair in this price range with these features. Some of the reviews talked about the lack of really good, detailed and written assembly notes. And I would agree with that but if you just take your time you can get it. There really is just a limited number of parts. It took me about 1/2 hour and that's because I initially assembled the arms upside down - not very functional. Anyway, once it was together it was a dream to sit on. My back's been bothering me lately and I attribute some of that to the lack of decent padding on my chair. This one is sweet - nice firm padding in the seat and my back is a happy back now. Regarding the assembly: just lay out the parts - the bolts, washers, etc in an orderly way and proceed slowly one step at a time. I decided to buy this from Amazon rather than [...] even though it was about $10 more at Amazon. I've had nothing but good transactions at Amazon and besides, shipping was free.

[[VIDEOID:moMTR18NZIVO3C]]Compared to the other brand of chairs out there, this is good price point for what you are getting.

Many people who google for a good ergonomic chair on a budget are led to this specific item. There is an abundance of glowing reviews on the other major retailer that sells this chair. When your back is aching and you see what looks like an incredible deal, it's too easy to pull the trigger.

I did this. The chair is pretty great. Most notable is the size of the cushion -- it's thick, a tad firm by design, but definitely comfortable and abundant. Also, I liked how the foam was molded to fit the contours of my butt and thighs. The tilt tension works great. I loved the mushy molded armrests. The mesh back offers what I perceived to be the right amount of tension.

One deal breaker for me was the lack of a tilt lock. You can't set your ideal tilt position and lock it in place. You'd need to have your feet on the floor to keep yourself pushed back. The tilt tension control certainly can make this manageable for many users though. I also have a problem with the back however. Depending on your preferences you might find that the amount of lumbar support isn't quite enough. Support is there and it's significant, but it wasn't enough for me. This is the kind of problem that you could fix pretty easily by purchasing an additional back support. But then this again might cause additional problems - what if the back support forces you to sit further forward in the chair resulting in an uncomfortable or even harmful sitting posture? I believe that those who have real, significant back problems should get a chair that has more adjustment capability than this one. When you buy a chair online you're taking a risk. A chair with more adjustments lowers this risk.

I bought this to use in my office as my every day chair. I do a lot of computer work, and have a bad back. I really enjoy how adjustable this chair is, and my back has improved since I got it. Particularly useful for me is adjustable nature of arm height - I like having arms on my chairs, but my old chair had arms that wouldn't lower, and I couldn't scoot my chair in all the way because the arms wouldn't fit under my desk!

This chair also looks nice - while it's not super fancy, the mesh back just adds a touch of cool to my otherwise pretty bland office!

The Ergo Mesh chair is a great and affordably priced office chair. The chair has great back support, is fairly adjustable, is well-made and very comfortable. The angle of the picture is deceptive, there is a lot more padding on the seat than we were expecting.

My wife and I did not run into any of the issues in assembling the chair that we had read on other reviews. Assembly did not take long, probably around 15 minutes. The instructions are pretty lacking, but we figured you only have to assemble it once and that's not a huge deal.

We are very happy with this chair. It's very comfortable, especially for the price tag. We have very expensive chairs at the office (between $650 - $800 retail) and there is little difference in comfort and back support between the two chairs, let alone to justify the price difference. I highly recommend this chair.

Update: I think it's been around 3 years since we bought this chair and it's still going strong. I work from home a bit and enjoy some PC gaming, meaning it definitely gets its fair amount of use. If you're worried about durability over the long haul, in our experience, this chair does really well.

This chair is reasonably-priced, sturdy, adjustable, and easy to assemble. As recommended by the first reviewer, you'll need to pay attention to the parts and diagram, as there are no written instructions - even so, you should have no problem putting this chair together. What I like best about this chair is comfort and adjustablity. I'm tall, and have never had a chair that would adjust in just the right ways. This one works, all the way around. It's the most comfortable work chair I've ever used.
