Ergobaby's Options Baby Carrier is designed to be transformed. This fun and comfortable carrier has the flexibility to swap exclusive Options Covers to fit your fashion (additional covers sold separately). The carrier balances baby's weight between parent's shoulders and hips for optimum comfort and features adjustable nylon straps, secure buckles, and reinforcements at critical intersections for a safe fit and a comfortable ride.
The Options Baby Carrier offers an adjustable waist belt and chest strap and strong buckles and reinforcements.
The baby carrier has ergonomically-correct positioning for the comfort of both you and your baby. View larger.
Ergobaby's Options baby carrier is ultra-comfortable thanks to the ergonomically correct design for both parents and babies. Its padded shoulder straps and waist belt comfortably distribute baby's weight between your shoulders and hips for long-term wear that's easy on your body and reduces pressure on your back. The waist belt and chest strap are adjustable to offer a customized fit, and strong buckles and reinforcements at critical intersections ensure the carrier remains secured.
The Ergobaby Options baby carrier hugs and cradles your baby in the recommended seated position, also known as the "M" position. In the carrier, your child's weight is supported along the back of the thighs, which keeps your child in a spread-squat position with knees at or above the belly button.
The Ergobaby Options baby carriers give you three ways to carry your child: in the front, at the hip, or on the back. In the Front Carry position (ideal for infants), the baby is cradled in the natural sitting position. This allows baby to focus on the parent or parent's face and to turn away from overwhelming external stimuli. When baby is old enough (about 6 months or up to 45 pounds), you can switch to the Hip or Back Carry position. This way baby can see everything around, yet still be snug and comfy against the parent's body.
Ergobaby's Options baby carrier can be used from birth (7 pounds or more) up to 45 pounds. During baby's first months, the carrier must be used with the Ergobaby Infant Insert (sold separately). The Infant Insert supports baby's entire spine, versus just the neck, to ensure the health and safety of your infant when in the front carry position. At four to five months, or when baby has sufficient spine and neck strength to support the head, the carrier can be used without the Infant Insert.
With Ergobaby's Options baby carrier, you can change out the cover with any other Ergobaby covers (sold separately) whenever the mood strikes. Fun choices include the Bold pack, with its colorful, brightly decorated designs, and the African Kingdom Collection, with its bold zebra and giraffe prints. Each cover attaches easily to the carrier using snaps, so you can change the look as often as you'd like.
The carrier and covers are made of 100-percent cotton twill and poplin for durability and easy care. For added convenience, both are machine washable.
For extra comfort during naps, the Ergobaby Options baby carrier includes an adjustable Hood that can be used to support baby's head and neck while sleeping. Elastic gathers keep the Hood securely in place to protect against sun and wind, as well.
The Ergobaby Options baby carrier includes a small zippered pouch that doubles as storage for the hood when not in use. It also features a large zippered pocket to hold your keys, wallet, and phone while on the go.
Ergobaby's Options baby carrier is CPSIA compliant, JPMA Safety Certificated, and conforms to ASTM F2236 Safety Standards. For added peace of mind, all buckles have been tested to meet SGS standards.
The Ergobaby Options baby carrier is backed by a manufacturer's limited one-year warranty.
Ergobaby's goal is to provide mobility and comfort to parents while allowing them to maintain a close and natural bond with their baby and toddler. The company's nautilus logo represents the evolution, flexibility and instinctive response parents must cultivate in order to live life to the fullest. Ergobaby's products support and encourage these qualities, while giving parents and babies the freedom to explore the world together.
