Book Description

January 27, 2000
Susy Smith, internationally known author of twenty-one books on parapsychology and the occult, traces the fascinting, many-faceted history of hypnosis-from its shady origins to its present status of quasi-respectability and its promising future as a tool for producing Extrasensory Perception.

In this book you will read about astonishing cases of hypnosis and the people who practice it.

The report of the California doctor who used hypnosis as the sole anesthetic in heart surgery on two teenagers . . .

The frightening story of a group of amateur hypnotists who placed a young girl in a trance so deep that she lost the use of English and began to speak in a strange, unknown language. The resulting loss of communication made it impossible for the hypnotists to bring the subject out of her trance . . .

The staggering implications of statistics-which show that many hypnotic trances lead to communication with the dead . . .

The Soviet professor who conducted long-distance telepathic hypnosis tests designed to make telepathy useful for the Russian cosmonauts . . .

3.0 out of 5 stars Hypnosis, intuition and ESP, August 15, 2007
By
This review is from: ESP and Hypnosis (Paperback)
This is interesting book that will explain what the hypnosis is. It is sort of historical overview on how it came to be used by so many people today. From being treated as hocus-pocus science to being recognized as a mean of supplementing regular medical treatements to enhancing our innate human ability such as intuition, awareness and yes - ESP. It was interesting to read the case studies and biographies of the first practitioners of this healing method. Do not expect to see any scripts that you can use. I wish book addresed more self hypnosis. In most cases, we read about trance induced to the subjects by their therapists.
