5.0 out of 5 stars Totallly Awesome !!
Just bought this for my kids who are 4 and 7 years old.

We played with this ESPN Game station all weekend.

It has Stuart Scott voice from ESPN as the narrator of the toy.

3.0 out of 5 stars FUN TO PLAY BUT NO FUN TO PUT TOGETHER
My boys age 12 & 8 wanted this for Christmas so against my wishes I made the purchase. I knew it would be a big job to put together...why do toy makers think parents should make the toy???

Anyway the instruction book states that it will take 7-14 hours to put together...It took two people 9 hours... I must say it is durable and that is what I was looking for...

Just bought this for my kids who are 4 and 7 years old.

We played with this ESPN Game station all weekend.

It has Stuart Scott voice from ESPN as the narrator of the toy.

Each time you make a good shot he chimes in with one of his catch phrases, "BoYahh"!! It has electronic scoring with cool sound effects and the ESPN famous chime. This toy has 6 differnt sports with 3 or 4 games for each sport. It comes with a hockey stick and a golf putter. Also several balls for each sport. The frame is very rugged and made with steel. This is not just for kids, my neighbor came over and we played beat the clock in basketball.

The toy rocks!!

This was put to the test by an entire preschool class, and passed!!

Very sturdy construction, fun game sounds and superb for indoor play during the long, cold Winter.

Definitely check this out! Oh, and don't pay attention to that lady a few reviews down, apparently she doesn't know how to use a computer.

Happy Holidays everyone!

If you like my review please vote for it! ~Michele

3.0 out of 5 stars FUN TO PLAY BUT NO FUN TO PUT TOGETHER, February 2, 2005

My boys age 12 & 8 wanted this for Christmas so against my wishes I made the purchase. I knew it would be a big job to put together...why do toy makers think parents should make the toy???

Anyway the instruction book states that it will take 7-14 hours to put together...It took two people 9 hours... I must say it is durable and that is what I was looking for. Make sure you have a room with over 7 foot ceiling because we measured the basement thinking it would fit but had to put it on the unfinshed side of the basement because we did not allow room for the basketball to be thrown higher than 7 feet in order to fall into the net. My kids wanted this toy because the voice is from ESPN and without batteries this toy would be NO FUN to them. The basketball and football are the games they play most. Golf and soccer and hockey are not competitive enough and the scoring is not interactive like the the other games. I know there are other sturdy arcade style basketball games on the market for less money that I could have purchased, but no others that have the ESPN game voice. If you buy this allow ample time to put it together and make sure you have batteries on hand.

I'll keep this brief. I purchased this for my 2 kids (boy and girl ages 10 and 6) for xmas. They played with it all day xmas and everyday since. They still haven't played with the rest of their toys for playing with this so much. Yes it's a couple of bucks and yes it takes up alot of room...but it's worth it. Better that their on their feet moving than sitting watching tv and playing video games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warning...Assembly required..., November 19, 2004
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars

Great toy, but you or Santa better have an electronic screw driver. It took 5 hours to assemble with a regular screw driver...multiple rods to attach and line up, but the final product was worth the lengthy assembly. Although we didn't use it, the toy is packaged with a customer service number you can call for assembly assistance. Our 4 and 3 year old sons enjoy playing with it as well as Dad. Amusing sounds, has volume control, so noise is not overbearing.

I bought this for my six year old son. I must say, I have spent more time on it than him, playing it into the night after he's put to bed. I've had some reliability problems though--the scoring quit working reliably shortly after we got it--sometimes it records a score, sometimes it doesn't and checking the wiring and replacing batteries hasn't fixed it. Also beware, it's BIG. You need plenty of room and a high celing. Even when "collapsed" into it's storage position, it is a mighty prominent addition to your home. Still, wouldhave given it five stars overall if it worked reliably.

Not only is this a great toy (my boys are 5 and 9 and both enjoy it) but the assembly was much easier than I had anticipated. It also stores away nicely. Even I've been throwing pitches at it when no one's around.

Our kids have been having a ball with this, (no pun intended).

There are a few bolts and nuts are awfully hard to tighten even with a person with mechanical skills.

But once you do get it together you will enjoy it.
