Beautiful, bangle bracelet Watch, December 27, 2011
This review is from: ESQ by Movado Women's 7101320 Sienna Two-Tone Bangle Bracelet Watch (Watch)
Well, it was Christmas time and my wife was looking for a new watch. She's NOT a "watch" person and could care less about brand, etc. I knew she wanted (needed) a bangle bracelet watch, and I knew she wanted a two-tone (gold/silver) look.
Like most women, I also knew she wanted it to work, without constant adjustments (like an "automatic" type watch would require). I showed her pictures of many watches to get an idea of what she liked. In the end, I picked up this one. Yes, it's Movado's "lesser" line, but so what? Again, she's not a brand hound. She doesn't show off her stuff, she just wants it to work, and she want's it to look good. This watch fits the bill. Frankly, she'd have been happy with a $50 watch, but she deserves more (especially after 20 years of marriage!)
The face is classy, the two tone looks fantastic and looks great with the other jewelry she wears. I set it when I first got it (early December) and it was still spot on when she opened it Christmas morning (of course, it's a quartz watch!).
I felt it was a fantastic look and a great price for a sweet looking time piece. Time will tell if she gets many years of service out of it or not, but it will sure look great on her wrist while we find out!
One note, I needed to shorten the band a few links to fit her (very slim) wrists. This might be something that most people can't do themselves at home. I have a set of "watch" tools (I picked up for $6 from Amazon) specifically for this purpose - a "just in case". I have no problems fiddling and figuring things out (and reading "how-to's"). So keep in mind the band MAY need to be adjusted, and you MAY need to visit a jeweler should you not have the tools and/or knowledge and/or confidence to adjust it yourself (remove/replace links).
