Classy & Accurate,
By Parker H. (Dallas, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: ESQ by Movado Men's 7300862 Quest Chronograph Stainless-Steel Watch (Watch)
This watch is classy and a good deal at Amazon's discounted price. The movement is a Swiss quartz (made by Ronda..the most famous Swiss movement maker is ETA) but the case is foreign, to cut down on cost. It is a nice weight, and not overwhelming on a small-ish wrist. I have several watches, so I don't know if I would recommend this to be the one and only watch to own, but it's very attractive and looks more expensive than it is.
The band and the clasp are nice for this price range, some watches have hollow links and these are solid. The face is also very detailed as well, with a textured (guilloche) surface. The only thing that might blow its cover to observant eyes is the case; it's a bit clunky compared to its more famous Swiss cousins.

A Very Beautiful Watch; Catches the Eye.,
This review is from: ESQ by Movado Men's 7300862 Quest Chronograph Stainless-Steel Watch (Watch)
I bought this watch from another retailer because I actually fell in love with it upon sight.
I had been looking for a watch with those classic lines and contours of older watches, but to no avail, partly because most watch sites don't really give you pictures that show the watch as it really appears. I intend to remedy that with my own pictures. The chronograph features were a big plus for me. The buttons are big and positive in their action. The large date windows are a very good feature, as is the texture of the dial. Movado who is the parent company of ESQ, states that ESQ features "the same sophisticated silhouettes and innovative design features found in more expensive timepieces, along with the high quality, durability, and technical precision you'd expect from Movado. I certainly can't argue with that. The bracelet is manufactured in Hong Kong and the case may well be also, but the dial is marked "Swiss Quartz" and the back is labeled "Swiss Quartz Movement." Regardless, the quality of the case and bracelet is impeccable and the movement is such that it can legally be labeled Swiss Quartz. At the price advertised on Amazon, this is a very good deal indeed.
