I purchased this watch for myself after looking for a nicer black-faced watch for a while. It arrived in perfect condition thanks to Amazon's careful packing. The face is easily read with the light catching marks for the numbers. I especially like the date located at 6 o'clock. The watch is medium light weight. The band is a little stiff at first, but breaks in after about a day of wearing, as leather should. I would definitely recommend this watch for someone wanting a professional, but not delicate, black faced watch.

Although I do like the look of this watch (very basic, great look for work)1 day after I received the watch, I pulled it out to wear to work and the battery was already DEAD!!!OMG!!! And the sticker on the back of it says " replace battery in Jun. 2014" Uh, HELLO!! It's not even 2012 yet!!! What a bummer :(

I purchased both the men's and women's version of this watch, and both watches are very nice. They arrived in perfect working order, and even had the correct time and date. The watch seems well made and accurate. It is elegant enough to wear as a dress watch, but is also casual enough for everyday use. The watch face is a simple, classic design, and is easy to read. The leather band is very stiff out of the box, but will soften up a bit after a few wearings. The watch is lightweight and comfortable to wear. If you're looking for a nice, Swiss made watch that doesn't cost a fortune, I recommend it.

I always wanted a movado but they are always too expensive. So when I sw this for a little over $100.00 I grabbed it. It is working fine and I love it. Thanks Amazon.

I purchased this for my Sister-In-Law. I typically buy Movado and my Wife I've changed into a believer of the finer things. My Sister-In-Law doesn't ask for much, ever, but always deserved something this nice. It's a great Movado watch under their ESQ nameplate. Swiss made, great strap, good design.

In typical Movado fashion you have a minimalist design. But the movement does consume power. This is because they typically use a higher counterweight to over effect the movement of the body and earth. This is for the benefit of precision. So battery's will last about 3-4 years on average. When you replace the battery use a high quality like Energizer. Use the junk batteries sold at Shack and you get short time span on life and inaccurate time keeping. It's a Movado, a museum quality piece... Treat is as such and it will treat you.

My Sis-n-law's first luxury watch and not her last. She really likes it and loves the compliments she gets. It's about attention to detail and attention to it's owner. It's a statement you wear on your wrist: I deserve and prefer the finer things in life and I go after them.

What a huge disappointment, getting a watch that doesnt even work. I will never tell anyone to buy a watch from here! Don't waiste your time or money!!!!!
