Highly Recommended for anyone who wants to go beyond Collingwood's classic work "The Idea of History". These are the working papers of a major figure in 20th Century thought. Most of his articles on history are included, though it does not touch the 250 some articles he published on the archaeology of Roman Britain. This collection will be valuable to any student of historiography.
