"You're The Star! 13 Exciting Endings!

Will A Terrorist Plot Keep You From Reaching The Highest Place On Earth?

Although you're an experienced climber, you never thought you'd be chosen to attempt Mount Everest, the world's highest peak. But someone is trying to stop your expedition. During a stopover in Beijing, you're exploring the crowded city when you are suddenly grabbed from behind! The cold steel of a knife presses against your throat. "Stay still and you will not be hurt," a voice hisses in your ear. Should you try to get away? With all these people around, he wouldn't dare use the knife, right? On the other hand, it may not be wise to test him.

If you do as the man says and stay still, turn to page 23. If you try to get away, turn to page 18. You must decide quickly and carefully! You could be in deep trouble - or worse - if you make the wrong choice. But if you choose wisely, you'll still have a chance to triumph where countless others have failed: on the massive slopes of Chomolungma -Mount Everest!

What happens next in the story? It all depends on the choices you make. How does the story end? Only you can find out! And the best part is that you can keep reading and rereading until you've had not one but many incredibly daring experiences!

This is a great book. Montgomery takes you right up the mountain. You live and die by your decisions. The right ones bring benefits and adventure. The wrong ones . . . well, can lead you into trouble. This is one of my favorite books. The character development is incredible. It's as if the characters are people I grew up with. I definitely recommend it!
