I would name my firstborn child after this motherboard if my wife wouldnt kill me. Little "750i FTW Fraser" running around the playground, though that kind of reliability and performance would be an awful standard to hold a child to.
I have built many different computer systems and it will be quite a while before i diverge from this board.

What can I say about this: It went in fast with no problems; was easy to figure out and best of all; I've had absolutely no problems with it at all. Awesome job on this board; you can't go wrong!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice board, February 9, 2009
This review is from: EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 nForce 750i SLI FTW 775 Mainboard - Retail (Personal Computers)
Though I had messed around with VGA's, aftermarket CPU coolers, and HDD's, this was my first 'ground up' build. I am quite happy with this board, though I must mention that the SATA inputs are awkwardly placed and would advise you plug in the cables before you start adding your components. I currently have an E8400 @ 3.825 ghz stable with this mobo and the Domino ALC cooler. Dual PCIe 16x 2.0 lanes are ideal for my two GTX260's. Post codes are moderately helpful, but the Clear CMOS button is especially great after an unstable overclock. Supports 1066 DDR2, but I am using slightly OC'd DDR2 800 just fine.

2.0 out of 5 stars Decent, but with some problems, February 2, 2009

I got this board for a new build (Intel Q6600, GeForce 260).

This board functions well, and the BIOS is easy to use, and everything is easy to install. I installed 2 SATA DVD drives. The board only has 4 SATA connectors, and i would have preferred more, and they are made of very cheap plastic. The plastic around one of them broke when i was unplugging a cable, and so now it only has 3. I've had some trouble with CD's (but not DVD's) through these drives to this board. Music cd's wouldn't copy the music in itunes but would copy blank files with the track names, and i could install games from CD's but windows wouldn't recognize that the CD was in the tray to play. I installed a PCI-e sata controller and plugged the drives into it, and the problem does not persist. Also, i wish this had more than 1 USB header, because i currently have to sacrifice my case USB ports for my media card reader, which both use USB.

I also have a problem where, if the computer has been off for more than 10 minutes or so, pressing the power button will just make the power LED flash and then the computer won't turn on, and i have to turn off the power supply (750W Apevia Quartz) and wait for the motherboard to lose power (all the internal lights go off) and then turn it back on, before the computer will start.

Other than that, this is a good board. The fan that came with the chipset is very effective. I am running 1 double-wide video card, so this board has all the expansion slots i could ask for (I'm also running a PCI-e creative x-fi, the aforementioned pci-e sata controller, a pci wireless itnernet card, and a pci usb/firewire card to get that extra usb header).

If i could go back, i would have gotten a different board with more SATA ports and at least 2 USB headers.

I'm a fan of EVGA video cards so I decided to give their motherboard a try. I don't use it for overclocking but I wanted a solid and stable product so I chose this one. And let me say that I think that I couldn't have chosen better. It's a great product with neat features like a LCD for post codes, solid-state capacitors, and more. It would have been more than perfect if it had included more USB ports, but anyway I don't regret my purchase.

I purchased this motherboard to replace a Gigabyte EP45-DS3R for a client. I was so impressed I am buying another one for myself. It went in smoothly. It has all the right stuff. If you are looking for a 775 Socket DDR2 Motherboard I highly suggest you try this one. Price is reasonable and it has a lifetime warranty via Evga too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Motherboard; Highly Recommended, November 2, 2009

I bought this board because my ASUS P5N73-AM didn't support PCI-E 2.0, SLi, dual-channel DDR2, and many other reasons. But this board supports all of that, and then some. I would highly recommend this board to a gamer on a budget. I've had it installed for about a week now, and I've had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Very good overclocking/overvoltage options in BIOS. I've been building computers since I was 11 years old (I'm 23 now), so I know what I'm talking about. Sure, the 780i is better overall, but if you're on a budget and want the options and features that a costlier board offers, go for this one. Also includes all the cables you'll need, i.e. SATA power converter, SATA data cable, SLi bridge, rounded IDE cable, rounded Floppy cable, and a few other cables that I didn't really need. Once again, I highly recommend this board to a gamer on a budget or to an overclocker on a budget.
