Very good product, pure quality inside, powering fine on Asus g41t-m lx v2 mobo and a GTX 750 Ti , only cons was that the AC power cable was not long enough, a little bit tense to get to my voltage regulator, but not a problem to deserve 5 stars. My first quality psu arrived here.

Have had this power supply for roughly a week, and I love it! One of the few PSUs with 2 6-pin PCI-E cables.

Pros:
- Exceedingly stable voltage and amperage
- Lots of cable choices
- Silent at idle

Cons:
- When under load, it seems to spin up the fan really quickly. Makes a good bit of noise from air flow (like air rushing out), but you can't hear the fan, if that makes any sense. Just sounds like wind is coming out of your computer. But it could be my cheap case and where it is positioned on my desk. YMMV.
- Spelling errors on the box

All in all, one of the best power supplies I've used. Especially since I got it for $35 after rebate.

Hello,

Thank you for the feedback on your recently purchase EVGA 500W PSU.

EVGA is aware of a printing issue on the side panel and have already corrected with new shipments going forward.

If the printing issue you see is not related to this, please let me know or send me a picture directly.

Thank you,
Mike Fierheller

Powers a 3rd gen i7 computer with a pair of EVGA 4GB GTX760 SCs with 16 GBs of ram on an Intel motherboard flawlessly. Zero glitches across triple 24" Samsung monitors. Can't say anything against it.

Recently upgraded my rig into 538watts so I got rid of my old CX600 and went for this. Look at the size of this thing, I had to remove my bottom 120mm fan in order to fit this beast in. Its built like a tank and the fan runs at a very low Db, at least compare to 2 Jetflo I have running at 2000rpm all the time.

I was looking for a replacement for my aging and under-powered factory PSU and decided on this one. Glad I did! First impressions out of the box are this thing is built like a tank. Cables are designed to make cable management very easy; no more wild tangled network of wires inside the case. Install was easy (as I figured it would be).

Operation is very quiet, perhaps even more so than the original PSU. Looks great; performs great; I don't think I'll ever need to buy another PSU for my desktop again!

I bought this power supply for a recent build that I did. The build included AMD FX-8320, XFX Radeon 7850, two sets of Corsair 8GB, Corsiar H55 liquid cooler, Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 Motherboard, three Coolermaster 120MM fans, LG blu-ray re-writer, [[ASIN: B00E3W15P0 Samsung 840 EVO SSD]], and two SATA Seagate drives. I really wanted this power supply to work properly right out of the box because it was bronze certified and modular. My main gripe with this power supply is the fact that when I finally got everything all together, my PC would wake from sleep but would not wake the video card from sleep. I had this problem before with an underpowered video card and decided to take another look at the power supply. This power supply has connectors that are hard wired in to it for video power. There is also modular connectors for the video power. I was using the hard wired one (for better cable management) and switched it to a modular plug and BINGO! It worked properly.Read more ›

The EVGA 500B 80PLUS Bronze has met my power requirements well. My system is: GTX 660 video card, ASUS M5A97 R2.0 mainboard, AMD FX8320 CPU overclockd slightly to 3.81GHz 4.2GHz turbo, 12Gb 2 channel DDR3 memory, 250Gb SSD HD, 2X250Gb SATA3 HD's, DVD+-R/DVD+-RW optical drive. I also use one of the USB3 ports as a cell phone charger. It is running BOINC 15 hours a day doing a project for each of the CPU cores, that run at 85% CPU time. Sometimes I also play X Plane flight simulator. So the power requirements are quite demanding. For such a low price the PSU is great value. The only thing is if I upgraded to a more powerful video card it would not handle it but that is what I expected before buying.

I got a DoA and it literally almost caused my mobo or psu to catch fire. Had the CPU1 plugged in and when i had everything connected it started to smoke from the cpu1 connection! First time i ever saw that from a PSU. I shut it off and let it cool, to find that the pins were melted and all messed up, some even stuck to the mobo. Returned it and asked for a refund. Sure my situation is just isolated but I cant give it more than 1 star in my case. Bad luck I guess.
