Product Description

Fast just got faster with the next-generation EVGA GeForce GTX 770, a high-performance graphics card designed from the ground up to deliver high-speed, super-smooth gaming. EVGA is also introducing a brand new cooling design; the EVGA ACX Cooler. This revolutionary double ball bearing design offers a 40% increase in heat sink volume, 15% average lower GPU and memory temperatures, and double ball bearing fans with an average lifespan of 12 years. This is a 4X longer lifespan vs. competitors sleeve bearing fans! Not to mention this fan is silent, in fact it is 15% quieter on average! The EVGA GeForce GTX 770 is stacked with unique gaming technologies like NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 that make it fast. Really fast. So nothing will hold you back from taking on - and dominating - your most challenging games.

Card arrived few days ago and it is huge, however the product dimensions mentioned on Amazon are not accurate I believe. It is close to 11" x 5" x 1.50". Instead of posting extensive bench marking results I am going to summarize by using the most used sentence in graphics cards reviews "It runs every game I throw at it in ultra". I did a lot of research and I realize there is a very valid argument against 4GB GPU for now, but I do believe that I will eventually be able to use a lot more than 2GB with modded games and other modern games that push 2GB mark. For a single monitor, 4GB at this moment maybe an overkill but I do not plan on buying another GPU for next 2-3 year, so this is the right choice.

If you register your product directly with EVGA you can also get a free back plate and lastly, I am not sure why it is not mentioned on the product page but you DO get a free Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Blacklist(tm) Digital Deluxe Edition game with it. I got my promotional code in an email from Amazon.

Update: I bought the GPU after the free back plate offer expired, but I still went ahead and registered my graphics card and EVGA still sent me a back plate. Thanks EVGA!

My Heaven scores are on stock.

I'll begin by saying whether i'm satisfied with the 770 Classified. First off, it is a very large card as most of you would have read over and over again on various review sites. This can be an issue especially for those who have a fan on the side panel as it obstructs your panel from closing. the extrusion of the PCB itself is 2inches. why is that so you may ask? well that is due to the 14 phase power delivery design EVGA came up with. that indeed is alot for a graphics card. however, one must remember that it is afterall a card meant to be overclocked to the max. enough about the physical aspects. the big question on everyone's mind is,"how does it clock?" "is it worth the premium to get the 770 Classified compared to a normal 770 ACX?"

To my amusement, the card i received was very satisfactory. In fact, too satisfacotry. please view the attatched images below for a better understanding. On the LN2 BIOS, i was almost able to get the 770 to a whopping 1400mhz on the stock ACX fan with 1.212v. Of course, i was running on the LN2 bios..the power target was 115%. i felt that my card was so potent i should actually get it wet since my CPU has been under water since day one. i run a 3770K @ 1.19v getting me 4.5Ghz prime blended stable. In case some of you are wondering, my ASIC quality is 80.7%, see attatched.

Now enough jibber jabber about what the Classified can do. Some of you might recall that in my build log, i had a GTX 780. Why did i get rid of my 780 for a 770 Classified then? Well for two reasons. One, where i am, EVGA cards are not readily available and when they are, it is in limited quantities and models(SKU's).

I just finished a new computer build and this card is absolutely amazing! It plays everything I throw at it at very high/ ultra graphics perfectly! The 4GB may be a bit overkill for just one monitor, but does help "future-proof" your pc since some games are starting to push, and exceed 2GB of VRAM. Also, GTX 770 SLI has been proven to outperform the TITAN on many modern games.

I got this card because my XFire 7850s were not cutting it at 1440p. This card has 4GB of GDDR5 memory which means it should deal with high res textures and AA at high resolutions better. Technically this card may have trouble using all 4GB of memory effectively due to the 256 bit wide memory bus Nvidia used. This is a common problem for all 4GB versions of the GTX 760 and GTX 770 not endemic to this particular card. Knowing this, I decided to get this for two reasons: 1) I wanted a EVGA card and 2) It maybe worth it for games in the future.

For point 1: I hear a lot of amazing stories about EVGA's warrant and customer service. I was willing to spend the premium to get that, you may not that's fine. This has already paid off though, I had trouble getting this card recognized in Windows, I shoot the tech support a message and within an hour (this was at 2 in morning on the East Coast) someone responded to me with an answer. While it wasn't the exact answer to my particular problem, it lead me on the right track to fixing it. To be fair, my problem turned out to be because of running Driver Fusion on Windows 8 which is a big no-no. The solution he proposed was to install the chipset drivers, this led to to realize that Driver Fusion messed up my install of Windows 8 nothing the "Refresh" feature in Windows 8 couldn't solve.

For point 2: The next generation of consoles will have 8GB of memory shared between the CPU and GPU. In fact the PS4 has 8GB of GDDR5 memory. This may (or may not) lead to more extreme usages of graphics memory. I was willing to take the risk now, this again is up to you.

This product is more expensive than the competing product from MSI, but I thought it was worth it for the EVGA service.

Also the cooler is massive, it over hangs the bracket so watch out if you got a smaller case.

Hi Hao,

I'm glad to hear you had such a good experience with our technical support team. We pride ourselves on trying to provide the best support in the business, and we always encourage customers to get in touch with us if they have a problem.

We advise the same caution to customers as far as the card height is concerned. Our Classified products use a larger PCB to accommodate higher-quality VRMs and more memory. Your case should have an additional 1" of clearance beyond the top of the PCI bracket for this card.
