The NVidia GTX 750 series cards are a new line from NVidia, using a new chip design called Maxwell. They're a big jump forward in efficiency, in terms power per watt, which allows you to install them in most desktops without upgrading the power supply or enhancing the cooling and still get much-improved performance. The new Maxwell graphics processing unit (GPU), along with 1GB of GDDR5 memory, allows you to get the most performance out of one PCI bus-powered card.
This card perfectly fit what I needed to upgrade my system to allow me to do video encoding effectively. While I'd have no problem replacing my power supply, I just don't have the time or feel the need to do it, given my computing needs.
Depending on your needs and current card prices, consider two other cards:
- The "Superclocked" version of the card this review is posted for, EVGA GTX 750 Superclock w/ 1GB GDDR5, which has a faster clock speed and will perform a little better when you're maxing out the card. If the price difference is small, go with that card.
LOW POWER NEEDS: This GTX 750 card is a good bet if you're looking to keep power and cooling needs down. According to the NVidia site, this card needs a minimum of a 300 Watt power supply, with a current rating of 20 amps on the +12 volt rail. A standard Dell 350W power supply has 25 amps on the +12V rail.Read more ›

I just ordered this card a few weeks ago. I got it within 2 days thanks to amazon prime 30 day free trial membership (which im actually going to keep, pretty handy!). Anyways I decide to get this card because I heard it would work on a 300 watt psu system.
Wanted to play more current games on my Asus Essentio CM1630 Series Desktop I bought in 2011( MOBO: Asus M4A78LT-M, CPU: AMD Athlon (Dual Core) II X2 220 2.8GHZ, RAM: SAMSUNG (2GBX2GB) 4GB 1333MHz (I plan on updating to 8GB soon), HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB, GPU: Integrated AMD Radeon HD3000, PSU: OEM 300 WATT. (380 peak) ). I got the EVGA GeForce GTX 750, read the instructions, switched off the integrated graphics drivers and such as it suggested, powered down my computer, disconnected all the external wires, threw in the new card, powered back up, threw in the install disk, let the drivers update, and PRESTO! It works like a champ! Been using for about a little over 2 weeks and haven't had a single problem yet! I can even run Star Wars: The Old Republic at almost completely high settings, World of War Planes on High settings, World of Tanks on high settings, about to try Warface and see how high it can get the setting on it! On average I get between 45-60FPS. This card has resurrected my graphics on this desktop and hopefully itll do the same for you! (IF YOU HAVE INTEGRATED GRAPHICS REMEMBER TO DISABLE IT BEFORE YOU INSTALL!!!) The only negative thing I have even remotely close is that the $150 Promotional offer that comes with it for the 3 games doesnt work but wasnt really a surprise anyways, sure it sucks but still liveable.

Packs a lot more punch than you would expect, coming out of this low-power setup. The revolutionary new Maxwell architecture really shines here, Human Revolution at Max settings, AvP at Max Settings, Company of Heroes 2 at Medium, and that's all bottlenecked by my Phenom II x4 840T and Alvorix motherboard. Up to three monitors no sweat, including streaming HD video on one while using the Integrated Shadowplay broadcasting software (specialized to encode using the GPU) on the other to stream Black Ops 2 to Twitch at Max settings with no framerate loss. The GTX 750 and 750 Ti are more than just low power cards...the Maxwell Architecture is the next evolution in GPU technology. Don't believe me? Do some research on the amazing technology behind it! A++, this is the card I am using in all the rigs I build commercially from now on!

STRONG improvement over my GTX 260. Significant improvement in performance, smoothness and detail, and the price was unbeatable. This card was a grand slam purchase for me.

This card rocks! One of the few with DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI connectors. Installation was a breeze. Could not use the drivers from the included DVD. Had to download them from EVGA's website. Once you start using a digital method for driving your monitor, you will never go back to VGA and it's inherent fuzziness. Currently installed on an Asus P5KPL-CM motherboard and driving two Dell monitors. No regrets.

i was building a gaming computer and i already spent up to $800 on my other parts and this card went great for the price. the first game i tried was skyrim (elder scrolls V) and it automatically set to ultra high even with an ENB mod. (Thats a graphic texture mod for better quality) the only high-powered game i'm assuming just isn't enough power for is battlefield 4 but that's crazy on some $300 cards.
