I ordered this card to bring my PC up to par for Vista Media center and Aero interface. It has exceeded my expectations. It brought my video ranking to 3.0 making my computer a respectable gaming system even with a single core processor. It also brought my Aero ranking to a 2.6 making it respectable for high end applications, which I will never use. HiDef video plays flawlessly. I am a very happy customer.

I bought this card as a replacement for 128 meg card that was beginning to humm and buzz. The new card worked with no problems, but the thing that surprised me is that it noticeably sped up other applications that I run constantly. The control panel provided with it is also very nice.

My Dell computer (which I bought in 2003) began having issues. Specifically there were green lines all over the monitor which made it impossible to go online or use the computer for that matter. I brought it in to the Geek Squad at my local Best buy and he pulled out the video card and told me it was burned out and I needed to replace it. I am not a computer person but I asked him to show me how to replace the card (it was very easy). I ordered this video card from amazon b/c it was economical (cheap). I use my computer to check email, surf the net, download pics, etc...nothing too fancy. I don't play video games that apparently require a much more expensive video card. In any case, I put the card in, turned the computer on and voila...good as new. All for $45! I was prepared to spend $2,000 on a new computer so needless to say I was thrilled that this inexpensive fix got us back online. The picture is better than new since technology has come a long way since 2003. I hope this is helpful information to someone out there like me having a similar issue. Good Luck!

EVGA is generally a name you can trust when it comes to NVidia cards. This card is about as good as you can get when it comes to AGP slotted video cards without spending a lot. It's a good choice for upgrading an aging computer to help it keep up with today's standards.

***If you have Windows 7 you need to navigate to the Vista driver on the CD and install it manually*** I hope I saved someone a little time and frustration by posting this. Once you do that it works like a dream.

I got a larger higher resolution monitor for an older PC and I needed to upgrade the video card to support it. Plugged the EVGA card in the AGP slot installed the driver and was up and running in minutes.
I like the fact it has a heat sink rather then an onboard fan. It makes the card thinner and easier to fit in the slot, makes no additional noise, and means one less moving part to wear out.
This is the 3rd computer in which I have installed an EVGA video card.
They are a good value, reliable and run flawlessly for years.

I purchased this card to use in a Pentium4 D computer with an AGP 8x slot, with the intention of getting accelerated openGL and compositing effects at 1680x1050, in KDE 4. It worked. The installation was straight forward and it has worked as it should for 3 weeks now. I have not tried the Windows drivers as I do not use Windows on this computer. This is a good basic AGP video card. If that is what you need do not hesitate to buy it.

I have an older Pentium 4 1.8 ghz computer. It was running pretty slow and I needed it to do some photoshop work. I reloaded windows XP and updated all the drivers. Maxed out the memory on the motherboard (2 ghz). I read some reviews and this Video Card stuck out. It was an AGP card which was the best option I had for the motherboard and it offered the most amount of memory for an AGP card. When I finished the upgrades to the computer I had a real powerhouse for Image Editing and PC Games. The card works beautifully and I can really tell the difference in the image quality and speed of game play.
I'm so impressed with this video card.
The other negative reviews appear to revolve around compatability problems. Its really a matter of "luck of the draw" with any hardware or software upgrade. There are countless manufacturers out their making hundreds of different components in a computer. There are going to be times where two pieces of hardware simply don't get along. Who do you blame? The negative reviews seem to blame the video card. Well, who's to say it isn't the motherboard, BIOS, Faulty AGP/PCI/PCIE slot or Power source? It could be anything.
I'm just one of the lucky ones I guess. I'd suggest you give this one a whirl. It will install and run without a problem and it will be one of the best upgrades you can make.
