This card was my choice for my new upgrade to my system. My 2-3 yr upgrade path. I have ben using the ATI 3870x2 Radeon 3870X2 1GB GDDR3 Pcie
I wanted to get the EVGA GeForce GTX 480 Hydro Copper FTWPART NUMBER: 015-P3-1489-AR but Amazon did not have it. The places that did have it wanted way too much. Only a little cheaper than getting an ATI 5970 black edition XFX ATI Radeon HD 5970 2 GB DDR5 PCIE2.0 X 16 HDMI/2DVI Video Card HD597ACNB9

So that said, The card installed easily, as I was already using 6 and 8 pin power connectors. and have a 1200w power supply. Thermaltake W0133RU ToughPower 1200W Modular Power Supply with APFC EPS 14cm Fan

and am using the SwordM case. Thermaltake SwordM All Aluminum Extrusion Case with Water Cooling System - Black

and my old motherboard ASUS P5E3 Premium wi-fi X48.

This card is a little smaller in length than a 3870x2, and weighs less.

so make sure you have the space, and the power requirements of at least 600w. Since I know you buy this for overclocking, better make that a 750w min.

software install was easy. I use the mini- hdmi to my monitor. since I have a massive case, I am used to ordering massive cables. the one in the box is only 6ft, so if you need a longer one. get... Mediabridge - HDMI-Male to Mini HDMI-Male - 15ft - Version 1.3b Category 2 - 1080p

This card is loud, in a liquid cooled system it is the loudest thing in my echo box. I will probably liquid cool this card later.

This will run anything you throw at it, highly impressed by this card.

I'm a gamer that plays about anything, and I don't like upgrading every so often.. so I usually buy massive and skip a gen of cards.

excelent product by evga, can run crysis full high all 16Q AA 1680x1050. no lag, very beatyfull..

The nvidia audio drivers high definition have problems with some system, I uninstall this and dont have problems, Waiting for fix nvidia. This card can touch 25k in vantage, bfbc2 run fine with all max 32AA, high flow air is a good solution, the card run very cool. the performance is outstandig, go for one. thrustme.

Nice unit but I returned both of them because EVGA sent me an email when the GXT 580 came out just a few days after I ordered the 480 from Amazon, who did not have any GTX 580s' in stock. The 580 is quitier, 20-30% faster and runs 10-20 degrees cooler. I tried to buy direct from EVGA but by the time I attempted to make a purchase they were sold out and on back order (always seem to be on back order at EVGA)but, the EVGA rep told me The 580 sells at Tiger Direct (for about $20 more than the 480 at Amazon) my emphases, and they were in stock. Hopefully for gamer extremist like myself Amazon will begin to offer the GTX 580 through Amazon or one of its sales partners, such as Tiger Direct.

WOW, wtf is with the shipping delays, and they completely give you NO info and NO proper way to get info on the wareabouts of the item... a 19day shipping and recieveing window!?! thats like they must have to take a BOAT to egypt and then WALK back with it then take another 5 days to package it and ship... YA EITHER GOT IT OR NOT!!! enough with the STUPID PROCRASTINATION!
