Very well designed.

Also a small gap maybe 1 mm between the shield and being flush with the cover of the I/O so you see a little bit of the I/O but only if your looking.

I built a new gaming rig to replace an eight year old rig. I wanted compact so it would fit in my entertainment center. This board had everything I needed and a little more. No issues occurred during set up and it has being running smoothly ever since. I have built many computers and this board is by far of the best quality I have seen. This is my first EVGA board and so far I am sold.

- I do highly recommend downloading the latest drivers from the EVGA website and not using the provided disk. I strongly believe I would have run into problems setting up the computer if I had not gotten the latest BIOS update (this should be a part of your homework when building a computer to begin with).

- Not a fault of the motherboard but buy a low profile aftermarket CPU cooler/fan or watercooler. If your build is as compact as mine is, you will not want to have to drastically disassemble your computer to change out a stock fan that you decided doesn't cool enough (anyone who buys a board like this shouldn't be using a stock CPU cooler/fan).

- The I/O cover just did not work with my case. There was a large gap. As compact as my build was, the cover lent itself to more problems than benefits.

- I did not receive all the cables that are shown on the last picture of the Amazon product page. That is not an accurate depiction of what is in the box. Amazon currently does not detail what comes with your purchase. The box contains the I/O shield & cover, two SATA cables, Driver disc, instructions and the motherboard itself. No more, no less.

Never booted, powered up by a evga supernova nex 750watt gold powersupply. Saw a comment about some haswell issue but dismissed it, now I reread it and the evga forums and a couple other issues regarding Post Code C.

Did the steps they recommended to check cables, dimms, cpu and heatsink all of them everything reseated. I lost count how many times I did this on new years eve and the day after. Never ever encountered a mobo that would not allow me to see bios settings at the very least. Pins look fine, if I keep staring at them any longer I'll poke my eye out.

The evga powersupply did startup an older am3 board so guess its something with haswell or a combination of things. Don't have another lga1150 board around to blame the cpu next lol, but a cpu with no pins and I being pretty careful doing install doubt could be that. Anyway glad the motherboard was able to say "C" throughtout my new years eve night and day after.

My replacement board is coming in about week, will update from there.

5 stars for nice packaging and documents. but 2 for not even bios posting besides the error code C. I want to like this board, so I wont blame the manufacturer for a DOA this time so I did request a replacement which I hope will not be someone elses open box or a refurbished unit.

Update: New Board works fine. Swapped power supply to a Corsair 750, since the 750G support bracket didn't fit well inside my 915F. After my new OS installation, it failed to boot a few days later, but a bios update strangely was needed to make the board recognize the pcie vid card again. Needed to hook up the hdmi cable to recognize the issue. Anyway all is well, but I think after several days watching the cpu/gpu temps I am definitely going to add water cooling to it.

Very well designed. Easy to install, and connect to components. Make sure you connect the case audio before you put the shield on!

Great motherboard. BE AWARE:
If you are purchasing this with a Corsair 250D and a H100, you should know two things:
1. The radiator of the H100 does not allow you to connect the second 4pin CPU connection. I had to cut off the plastic retainer for it to fit. (the clip)
2. If you purchase ram with a heatsink, the DIMMs are so close to the cpu that the H100 heatsink will push one of the ram heatsinks into the other.

Other than that, its a great motherboard :D
