Not much to say other than these were a hard to find item at the time I purchased them and this seller on Amazon was the only place I could find them anywhere (google search included). I was worried they may not show up or would be back ordered since it was from a comic book store and they were essetially sold out everywhere else ... but no problems. These shoes showed up promptly and exactly as described. This was a great transaction!

Similar to, but not "Chuck Taylors". They fit just like the Converse as stated but read the sizing chart, they do run genuinely 1/2 a size smaller. The red is not as red as in the picture, they are slightly darker in real life, but none the less an excellent representation of EVH "Chucks"

If you do not want to DIY, then these are a great alternative.

I bought these hi-tops for my 14 year old son. He had seen them in a rock catalog and I found them at a lower price through Amazon. The reviews said the shoes run small, but I found them to be a good true to size fit. The shoe laces were a little on the short side, so he took laces from another pair of hi-tops to use until I can buy new laces. He loves them,friends think they're cool, and I was happy with the price. Good value for the price. They seem to be well made.

Van Halen was my first favorite band ever. I had inquired about these shoes several months before they were actually released on vanhalenstore.com. I was told they were coming soon, so of course, I was very excited. When I finally did get them, I found that they weren't quite the same as those worn by EVH. The red is more of a "Brick" red rather than the bright red we have seen EVH sport. As for quality, they seem to be nice and they do run different in sizing as stated. You have to buy a half size bigger than that in which you would a Converse "Chuck Taylor". They fit great, I was just disappointed in the color scheme. Take a look at old Van Halen pics and you'll see EVH's are brighter. I have a pair of Converse that I plan to customize to truly reflect those of EVH. Got to find a degreaser to wipe them down with first. They must get a heavy dose of scotch guard or something similar as they do not take to spray paint very well. It kind of just runs off of them. Anyway, these shoes are nice, but not quite EVH striped. They look as though they were washed in bleach or something. They need to release Wolfgang's color scheme (That Blue with Black & White). I'll sport them until I get my Chucks done. Looking forward to the VH tour in 2011 as they are in the studio working on their new album. Halen!!!

My husband loved them! They are sharp looking! Very pleased! I would highly recommend these shoes for any Van Halen nut! :)

My son looked for these shoes at every shoe department store possible! We finally found these online and he was so excited. I was worried about sizing but they explain in detail about the shoe running a half size smaller than converse. Since my son uses size 7 in Converse, which fit him a bit snug and the 8 are too big (Converse don't have half sizes) I went ahead and ordered a size 8 in these shoes. Well they fit perfectly and he says they are definitely more comfortable than Converse. Unlike the other review, the color is true to the color of pic. Now I'm going to order the other two colors for him.
