I feel ripped off. This book includes much of the same info as the author's other book about the houses of death.

I also found myself skipping several pages or chapters relating to Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and others in that section because the author focuses way too much on the politics instead of the crimes and that bores me to death. That section did help me fall asleep tho...and is cheaper than a bottle of Tylenol PM.

I won't be buying anymore by this author. He just uses the same material from one book to the next. Wish I knew that before wasting my money.

I do not know what I was expecting. I thought maybe I would learn a little bit more about each of the crazy people in this non-fiction book. It is really just a primer to psychopaths. It had very little new content; however, if you are curious about the topic and do not want to get too gruesome, this is the book for you. I was entertained, but my mind was not blown. I found myself continually reading each chapter and using wikipedia for more information.

I found this book to be very insightful and quite well written. The selection of characters the author chose to write about was diverse and I feel that he was able to give the reader the opportunity to possibly understand what the lives of these people were like and perhaps even what triggered the violent urges they had to kill. Over all I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in reading this genre.

I purchased this book with the soul purpose of studying the psychopaths mind. Understanding how twisted ones mind can become can eliminate the threat to others. This book examines many people, how when they appeared normal, where in reality abnormal. The True Crime series explores many of these aspects and more. A must for the curious as well as the professional. I highly rate this book and you will too once you delve into these articles.

It's hard to believe there are people with such sick minds walking amongst us, but unfortunately the National/nightly news seems to be bringing this fact out more & more as time goes on. A very well written, worryingly factual book.

The writing was odd, but overall I found it interesting. There were some I hadn't heard of before, many I had but it held my attention. I will add it to my serial killer book collection. Maybe ill even read it again someday.

A good read, if you like to read about killers. Good read, though. Interesting true crimes. Give it a try.

This is an excellent value! It has short form accounts of many serial killer through history and there are a ton of them. This is a great book because you can find out if you want to read more on a particular killer by reading this. If you want to be seriously creeped out, read this book!
