Great food,

This is the ONLY dog food my Shepherd mix will eat. For the 2 reviews above, your dogs are unique and prob. have an intolerance. Evo is a wonderful food, Eukanuba has MANY things that are horrible for your dog to eat. Evo has NO corn or by-products which are very bad for dogs. It is a high protein food so its not great for 7+ year old dogs but wonderful for normal adult dogs. Perfect for dogs with grain allergies. Whenever looking for food stay away from dog foods with ANY corn or by-products. Eukanuba and Iams are CONSTANTLY recalling their food. I work at a local pet shop and in the past year they have had recalls 5+ times, no other food has been recalled.

I have a 100lb Bullmastiff. 4 years old now. I spent the first two years looking for a dog food that she wouldn't get sick on. Tried Cannidea, Purina Pro Plan, and Taste of the Wild. Ran into the EVO and she loves it. Coat is shiney and she's never been healthier. What that saying, all dogs are not created equal. It just works extremely well for my dog. If you have a food that works, stick with it. But if your looking for a great grain-free dog food, look no further.

Innova made the first grain free dog food. I was feeding my Great Pyrenees Innova because at the time it was the best avaialable and any food containing white rice, corn, or wheat caused her too chew on herself, lick her feet and gave her ear infections and a terrible odor. When the Evo line was created by Innova I switched her to that. I have have never had any issues with my dog she is 11 years old without any ailments prone in this breed or any senior dogs. For the reviewer that fed it to her large breed puppy...Evo has always maintained that this food be for adult dogs it was never meant for large breed pups. It has a very high calcium content not good for large pups that need to grow slowly. I also find it hard to believe an ingredient change caused myriad health problems and that Eukanuba was the answer for an ailing dog. Eukanuba stopped being a quality food in the late 1990s. Evo has always had the exact formulation with the exception of the added taurine in the ingredient list and the peas now in the cat food. There has been a huge back lash towards Innova lately do to their being bought by Iams. So far the food is still made at their own plant, and ingredients are the same. My Pyr is hypersensitive to changes in diet I have yet to see any difference in the quality of this food. Now it seems every manufacturer has gone "grain free" they split ingredients so 3 types of potato products etc. they use more veggies and fruits. Check these dog foods and read the meat content the kcal etc.. Evo still contains the most meat at 80% and still the only one I feed.
