Just the right answer,

This product is exactly what it claims to be. The main reason I went with these shims, rather than some others is because they claimed to be usable without removing the door from the hinges. I did exactly that and now my front door is square to the frame. The only downside is that the gray stands out a little bit against a white glossy frame. The shims probably could have been painted to match, but I didn't try.
