Mounting the bracket is a breeze.

It holds about 2 gallons of water and the birds seem to like a couple of rocks.

I love the sloped sides and the tilting mechanism to empty it.

I have had this birdbath a couple of weeks now and have found that it meets all my needs. It was fairly easy to assemble and mounted easily to the deck railing. The bowl is quite sturdy and is a nice shape. It is not too deep and it wipes out easily. The dumping mechanism isn't perfect, but it certainly works. The release catch is large and accessible. It tilts smoothly. The only negative is that there is no 'stop', so the bowl will lift completely off the support/stand. You must hold on to it as you are dumping it. It holds about 2 gallons of water and the birds seem to like a couple of rocks. If you only put one gallon the birds have to lean very far to get to the water. I would purchase this again and would recommend it to my friends and other bird watchers.

I do not understand any less than a 5 star rating for this product, unless there was a specific problem with that unit. First of all, the company deserves 5 stars for their prompt service. Wow, was that quick! We bought this bird bath to mount on our deck railing. We had one just like it that was not heated but it was getting old and it was a bit of a fuss getting the heating element just right. With this unit the thermostatically controlled element is inside and the cord can be completely hidden when not in use. It got down to 35 degrees last night so we will probably be needing it very soon!. I think someone in a different review said tilting for cleaning is a problem. It is not. It tilts easily. Mounting the bracket is a breeze.

This heated birdbath beats my old one hands-down. I love the sloped sides and the tilting mechanism to empty it. The mechanism isn't sophisticated and could have been designed a little better, but it does the trick. The birds really seem to like it, especially birds that never visited my old, one-depth birdbath.
