5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect fastener for the job, November 9, 2006
This review is from: B&C Eagle ABCS-1516 2-Inch Hardwood Flooring Staple, 1,080 per Box (Tools & Home Improvement)
I used two full boxes of these staples on my flooring project. I had no jamming nor bending of staples. They don't split the oak flooring as badly as the T-Nails. I had no broken rows of staples when I received the shipment. The galvanized feature will eliminate the chance of rusting if the flooring gets wet. They secured the 1,000+ square feet of flooring so well that it required very little sanding to prepare it for the finish. I am very satisfied with this product.

This review is from: B&C Eagle ABCS-1516 2-Inch Hardwood Flooring Staple, 1,080 per Box (Tools & Home Improvement)
I ordered these ABCS1516 2" staples to fasten some 3/4" Oak flooring I was installing. This was my first time installing hardwood flooring so I did some research on-line first. One thing I read was that flooring staples were coated with glue that helped them hold to the subfloor. These staples were listed as 'coated' and have (in Amazon's photo) what appears to be a yellow glue on them. I was therefore a little concerned when they arrived with no yellow coating. I emailed B&C Eagle asking about the apparent discrepancy, but assumed I was wasting my time and would never hear back. However I was wrong as within half an hour I heard from TWO different people at the company! One was apparently an engineer who after informing me that they now use a clear glue went on to explain that the glue is really to hold the staples together and its effect on holding the staple in place is extremely minimal. The other response seemed to come from someone in sales as it mainly focused on their excellent quality control, guaranteed satisfaction, etc. It was reassuring to know my flooring job would not be compromised and I was impressed at the timely response from B&C Eagle.

As for the staples themselves, they worked flawlessly in my Freeman FL618BR pneumatic nailer. I highly recommend both the staples and the nailer.
