This is an outstanding volume for the historian or the model shipbuilder. Using only this volume, I was able to construct a museum-quality model ship from the drawings and narrative supplied by Dr. Crisman, the author, who also provides a detailed account of the vessel's participation in the War of 1812, particularly its involvement in the Battle of Plattsburgh.
