Eagle Aspen DTV3X4 DirecTV-Approved "Min Max" 3-In/4-Out Multiswitch

This multiswitch allowed me not to have to put a second dish. If you use the switch make sure you reset all the recievers connected to the multiswitch. Unplug reciever wait a couple minutes plug back up and turn back on.

Actually identical to original EXCEPT this unit included resistance terminators. Great product.

I ordered this product as a replacement for the one that was initally installed by Direct TV. During a lightening storm a bolt was a near-miss (it hit a tree located about 20 feet from our satelite dish) however my Direct TV became screwy - I would receive some channels and not others. When I checked my satelite strength I saw that I was getting a signal on all of the "even" transponders were receiving a signal but not on the "odd" ones.

Next I checked the multi-switch (it is located where the cables from the satelite split into your house) and I found it to be very warm/hot to the touch. I ordered and installed the "Eagle Aspen" multiswitch from Amazon and my problem was fixed. At the end of the day I saved myself a costly repair visit by Direct TV!

This unit is very probably excellent, as I have purchased the 4x8 and it works very well. The only problem with this one is in it's application. I assumed that I could use two of the four outputs from my satellite dish to allow me to run two PVRs, unfortunately it does not work that way so I called the manufacturer. They informed me I had to use ALL satellite outputs if there were four, two would only work if my dish only had two. There was no mention of this fact in the information on line. It sits unused at this time.

The directv installers did not install any kind of multiswitch, just a connector in the basement. Removed the connector, installed the multiswitch, and it worked. Piece of cake, 5 minute install, no problems at all.

Did not work for my directv setup, lots of channel lose the signal... Since I live in a building I'm not sure if there's another one on the roof... Maybe 2 multiswitch on cascade don't work...

The device is simple, easy to install and works as described. Very satisfied!!! I don't have any issues at all with it.

Two (out of three) of the TVs in our house were unable to pick up several channels, kept getting the "searching for satellite signal" message. I replaced the multiswitch with this one and it fixed the problem.

The product works as advertised, but maybe only because I am using three of the outputs for TVs in three different rooms. Otherwise, the missing load terminators (the packaging states that there should be three, but only one was in the box) may have caused me some trouble. This is what prevented me from giving it a perfect rating.

I ordered two DTV3X4 but received two 4X4. Should work fine, correct? I installed one about three weeks ago and it went bad already.Had to install another brand so I would not have to take more time while patrons waited. Hope the next one will work better.
