Let me count the ways -- no, better yet, let me get the can-opener and a spoon!!!
I once read a true story about 2 men who were rescued from a terribly ill-fated arctic expedition (at the turn of the 20th century), brought aboard a ship, and given warm clothing, food and a bunk. The captain of the ship came to their quarters and asked "Is there anything else you gentlemen would like?" To a man, they both said "Sir, we would each like a can of condensed milk and a spoon". And their wishes were granted.
Condensed milk is a hallowed food, a special comfort food -- never mind that it also makes GREAT fudge, and other sweet delectables -- eating it out of the can is a Heaven-on-Earth experience, a comfort on a cold winter's night or day and a VERY Special Treat during the holidays. Try eating it with Cranberry sauce -- it's incredble!!! And even though I am lactose intolerant, I think the Angels of Milk have granted me a special dispensation when I gorge myself on Condensed Milk - - it makes me happy and almost saintly.
Wonderful recipes are on the inside of the label, so open the can carefully to get to the recipes.

Get a nice pan with a good lid, put a can of Eagle condensed milk in it (peel the label off), make sure the can is well covered, get it boiling, turn it down to simmer, put a lid on and make sure (100% sure!) the can stays completely covered while simmering along for three hours. Cool completely - an hour or more - till no pressure remains and lid of can can be pushed a bit in and out. Open the can and voila - caramel. Fourteen ounces of ooey-gooey, delicious caramel ready to drizzle on cakes, make a terribly sweet pie, use for cake decorating or as an ice cream topping. I had to try it to believe it but it certainly worked with no muss, fuss or drama.

How can anyone not like condensed milk? It's milk, and it's condensed!
Borden is a good brand. Just make sure that the milk is produced in the US or a country that you trust.
Americans don't use condensed milk much any more. I don't cook much, the ways I use this milk is:
1) Sweeten tea with it.
2) Spread it on buttered toast.
3) Add hot water and drink it as sweetened milk.
Try it, it's great! The only con is that it comes in a can that must be opened with can openers. They now sell other brands in a pull tab top and squeezy bottle.

Bam! Amazon's price for Eagle Brand takes it up a notch!
Needless to say, Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk is the top of the line for condensed milk. I add some to my coffee every morning instead of milk and sugar. Read more

Delicious
Delicious. Goes great with coffee. Combined with drip coffee makes for a poor man's Cuban cafe con leche, a good substitute when Cuban coffee is not easily available.
