I chose this lumbar pack from my many options because I liked the versatility of the shoulder strap. It is comfortable to wear both ways. My one major complaint is that the water bottle holders are too small to handle my Sigg water bottles. It seems like the only bottles that would be slim enough to fit easily would be a plastic 12 oz bottle (not healthy or green). I need more water on a hike then that.

It's probably the best you can get, but I liked the older, similar, model better. That's why it's a "4." The old zippers wore out after many years. The new one appears to be well constructed and durable.
