I overall like this piece of luggage. let me give you the pros and cons:

Pros - I like the four wheel capability, the durability of the luggage, and the handles on all four sides. I also had a warranty claim within the first month of owning the luggage. The top front zipper just came off. Not that I use it, but I paid for shipping it back to their designated repair person and about 3 weeks later I got it back fixed. Since then, about 9 months ago, no other problems with the luggage.

Cons - no matter how I pack this bag, everything will slump to the bottom of the suitcase! I can lay everything out, layer properly, cinch up the straps and when I go to unload, it has all shifted to the bottom since that is the way it is rolled around. Previous pieces of luggage have held items in place better. For my uses now, this works out fine, but I am always on the prowl for a piece of luggage that will keep my clothes more securely held without shifting. The other minor point is that it looks like a lot of other suitcases so you have to gussy it up with your own trademarks on the handles so you can recognize it quickly in the carousel at baggage claim!

First, Eagle Creek has provided excellent service and stand behind their product. I had an issue with a product that they stood behind and provided store credit that I used to buy this bag. I had been wanting a 4-wheeler. Used this bag for 2 business trips (I travel weekly) and would not recommend to another road warrior. Very tippy when standing still if you have any other bag on top. Also tippy when rolling across uneven surfaces (elevator entrance, transition from carpet/tile, ramps, parking lots, etc.). Not easy to navigate impediments (curbs, stairs) without lifting it. Does not roll over carpet in vertical position- need to pull bag on 2 wheels. Handle is too "sensitive", it will collapse back into the bag with the slightest pressure while walking.

The inside of the bag is well designed for capacity, fit well in the overhead of several airlines and materials seem like the bag would hold up well.

I am returning this bag that traveled on one 5-day trip by plane, bus, train, taxi, and on foot to New York city/state from Oregon. The suitcase held all clothing for the journey plus small buckwheat pillow, jacket, pair of shoes, and smaller items. (A small backpack carried the rest: wallet, toiletries, book, hair dryer, snack, etc.)

The suitcase was exposed to rain, gravel, cement pavement, tar & gravel road pavement. Light weight and easy to wheel with the fine reputation of Eagle Creek behind it, this little bag was functioning smoothly until the morning of my return when the handle got stuck at its shortest setting. As I waited for transport to the train, I wiggled it down completely. When the handle stuck, again, at Grand Central Station, I extended it all the way up and quickly descended it down completely and taxied to the airport. Using the “quick descent” method, I managed to manipulate the handle despite its stickiness and checked the bag for the flight home. At home, with the suitcase empty and trying the handle, again, it was a “no go”. I was able to get inside the lining of the bag, find the knobs below the rim of the suitcase that hold the handle on that lowest setting, push them in, and retract the handle. BUT that action would be very inconvenient with a fully loaded case as one is jumping on a train.

Other odd features considered “iffy” on this bag:
    1) The zippered mesh compartment inside the lid unzips from the narrower side of the lid rather than the longer side.
    2) There appears to be a zippered compartment within the suitcase (not in the lid). This is not a storage pocket but opens to
    the inside the lining.
