5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent back support, June 3, 2009

(REAL NAME)
I've had this travel pillow a year and take it on all flights and any long car trip. After several back operations I generally need support in most chairs. This pillow has really been a gift in my life. You can very easily adjust the degree of support by the amount of air you blow into it. The valve is a couple of inches in diameter, so adjusting the firmness can be done in a very quick and subtle manner. Half a breath will fill the pillow. For flights, I keep it deflated in my carry-on, and am able to quickly inflate it in a couple of seconds without others noticing. I've actually bought two extra, fearing that they might one day discontinue the model. The fabric is durable but soft. I bought the black version. Just brushing it with my hand is all it takes to keep it clean. Once deflated, it takes up almost no room.

4.0 out of 5 stars Small but good, October 18, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
When I ordered this, I was looking to buy an inflatable pillow to sleep on when I stay in hotels. I guess I didn't realize how small it would be. But I will use it on the plane, because it is a perfect size for that, especially since they don't provide pillows on planes anymore. It inflates very easily and fits into my carry-on, or even into a large handbag. Plus it is a nice soft fabric. This is a perfect replacement for pillows on planes!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Useful, January 17, 2010
Since pillows are becoming ever more scarce in coach seats -- and American Airlines no longer provides pillows even in the front of their planes -- this pillow is almost a "must" on long flights. I've also used it as a pad on Mongolian horse saddles, which are made of wood, and in dromedary camel saddles, which can be oddly fierce to the tailbone on longer rides. And, of course, it is a grand comfort in buses, 4 WDs, other vehicles, and beds & beaches where pillows are unavailable or unappealing. The cover washes well and dries overnight in places with dry air or dehumidifying A/C. Since it is a bit bulky even folded up, you may want to sew a ring or something on it so you can attach it to a carabiner and keep it on the outside of your pack or carry-on -- or attach it yourself some way so it doesn't slip off a saddle or get left on a plane.
