I purchased two of these flight bags for my sons for when we travel on long-weekend trips. We've found them to be surprisingly roomy, with plenty of compartments to separate their gear (game devices, iWhatevers, chargers, cellphones, etc), personal products, and clothing. They're sturdy, light-weight, and perfect for folks who want to one-bag it without wheels to insure carry-on status. They fit under plane seats with room to spare. They were able to pack enough for a 5-day trip in these bags (keeping in mind that we have a "less is more" philosophy while traveling). On several recent trips, the flight attendants were banning all wheeled bags (regardless of size) from being carried on due to space issues, we were able to walk right on without issues. Instead of fighting to beat the crowds to insure overhead space, now we relax while everyone else boards, then we walk right to our seats and put our bags underneath the seat in front of us. No more fighting for overhead space. A great purchase for us!

This is a very good quality duffel-style bag that's sized perfectly as a second carry-on ("personal") item. It will easily fit under most seats even when quite full.

The difference between cheap luggage and good quality luggage is in the design and the quality of the parts. I've had bags where the zipper pulls came off within a couple dozen uses. This bag has chromed metal zipper closures with chromed metal pulls that will never come off.

There is an outside zippered pocket for travel documents. This allows easy access to the documents without exposing other compartments of the bag, greatly reducing the chance of accidentally dumping out the contents of the bag while searching for boarding passes.

The other zippered side pocket has two Velcro-closure compartments that are lined with a soft material to eliminate scratches to your iPod or cell phone. In this compartment is also a quick-release key holder, a couple pen loops, a third unlined compartment, and an additional document compartment.

One of the end pockets has an elastic top pouch that appears to be of a water resistant material. I put my toiletry fluids in there for easy removal when going through security. One more layer of liquid resistant material is probably overkill, but it can't hurt.

My only real issue is with the shoulder strap. It attaches to D-rings on the bag with a spring gate carabiner. While I've not had an issue with this bag, another bag I had with a similar strap attachment would all too often come open on its own and cause one end of the strap to detach from the bag. I would prefer an attachment that requires a double action to open. It's a small point and easily corrected with a replacement strap.

Overall I'm very happy with this bag and have received several compliments about it from other travelers.

The perfect companion to my Eagle Creek luggage!!! The color is awesome and the bag is so practical! It was perfect for keeping all my documentation safe and secure and organized on a 3 week trek through China. Did amazingly well through all the customs checks and security searches. The pull out luggage tag is awesome. LOVED it! Worth every penny!
