5.0 out of 5 stars Light, thin and surprisingly comfortable
The Eagle Creek Travel Gear Security Wallet I've purchased twice (the original was given away and I liked it so much I wanted to replace it). It is made of soft cloth material and all-plastic hardware so it does not cause any skin chafing and is light and comfortable. 1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY this product
Recently went on a trip through Europe. Well, I used this wallet for 2 days and had to find a safety pin to use to hold up the one string that was on it's last stitch. Reading prior reviews, it was indicated you can use your phone, some euro change and passport with credit cards for safekeeping. Well, I used all of the above but I guess it was too heavy and the string was...

The Eagle Creek Travel Gear Security Wallet I've purchased twice (the original was given away and I liked it so much I wanted to replace it). It is made of soft cloth material and all-plastic hardware so it does not cause any skin chafing and is light and comfortable. It has a zipper pocket for $, and some smaller pockets for receipts, etc. It easily holds multiple passport books (if traveling with family and one person is holding all documents). The neck strap is of light material so doesn't create a burden on your neck. This product is also thin (unless you stuff it full of contents) so it isn't easily noticeable underneath your shirt or blouse. There's pockets sized for credit cards, too. I can't think of how to improve this product other than maybe have a place for a small miniature writing pen. This product is highly recommended.

I have a hidden waist pouch product from the same manufacturer of similar material and I prefer this neck pouch as it's more easily accessible when traveling.

I used it on my recent trip to Italy. It held my cell phone, cash and camera. Very useful. I give it two thumbs up.

I bought this item (light tan color) for a mission trip to Colombia. I was able to hold my passport, ipod touch, cash, credit card, earphones, and a small cannon camera without any problem. I kept it across my shoulder for the entire 1 week trip with no discomfort. It could hide under my cloths easily and it looked like a small purse when it was out. I was able to access everything without pulling it all apart.
The two things that I didn't like was that the color was very see through. I had to make sure my passport was backwards so only the blue would show and I had to keep a piece of paper over my credit card because you could see the card through the fabric.
The other was that the neck strap was really long. You could adjust it but the extra length kept getting in the way of the Velcro.
Regardless, I would buy this item again and hope my lasts for a long time!

I ordered three Security Wallets for gifts. My husband, son and I have used this same wallet for over 6 years now. It has just the right amount of pockets, etc. to store your passport, credit cards, cash, tickets, etc. It is light weight and the adjustable strap allows you to wear it at any length you need. We also use the Eagle Creek Security Waist Belt for storing extra cash, copies of our passports, credit cards, etc. Our Eagle Creek Travel Gear has worn well. I felt very confident giving them as gifts. I could not find them in any of our local stores and was very pleased they were available on Amazon.com. They were considerably cheaper than what I paid for mine six years ago and the shipping was free. My order arrived in approximately eight days. I couldn't be more pleased with the product or Amazon.com.

Reading prior reviews, it was indicated you can use your phone, some euro change and passport with credit cards for safekeeping. Well, I used all of the above but I guess it was too heavy and the string was on it's end point..... Good thing I noticed or I would of been without my important drivers license and passport! For a female, it can get bulky and doesn't "hide" I don't wear extremely loose clothing but I wasn't wearing a tight fitting top. Nontheless, still bulky. I did have an iphone 3GS but the space capacity was there. Just didn't think this was so cheaply woven. Good thing I brought an extra purse!

2.0 out of 5 stars No reinforcing cable in strap; not so secure, March 8, 2011
This review is from: Eagle Creek Travel Gear Security Wallet,Tan (Apparel)
I found it disappointing that this so-called 'security' wallet does not have cut-resistant cables in the strap to deter it being cut by a thief. I noted that one reviewer said that the strap broke without any 'help'. A continuous (loop) secure strap should be a mandatory addition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Travel security, May 12, 2010

Ten years ago I used to keep my passport and other valuables in a money belt inside my pants for maximum security. Now you would have to be crazy to go through airport security with anything hidden underneath your clothes. So this security wallet has become the best way to keep your passport safe while traveling. Mostly you can keep it under your shirt to avoid attracting attention, and right before you go through airport security or passport control, you pull it out from under your shirt.

I had 2 youth traveling to Germany. These are a "must have". They have all kinds of places to organize your papers and money. I use one when I travel as well. So we have several in our family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked great, a little short for airline tickets, April 21, 2011

This review is from: Eagle Creek Travel Gear Security Wallet,Tan (Apparel)
I bought this for an international trip. I wish it would have been a tad longer to accommodate airline tickets, but it really did work well. It was handy. I could easily get to my cash in the long zippered pocket and the small zippered pocket on the flap kept coins and small cash readily available for tipping or quick purchases from street vendors. It kept my passport and drivers license securely in place the whole 8 weeks I was away. And now that I'm back in the US, I will probably continue to use it because it is light weight and convenient.

I love this wallet. Room for everthing. Easy to organize. Never bulky. Easy to retreive credit cards, identifcation and cash. I use this as my main wallet even when not traveling now. I wish they made it in other colors.
