Could be better design,

I purchased this undergarment pouch for our trip abroad. It worked well but I think it needs a amaller shorter pocket in front to allow for easier access of cash and CC. The current design is too deep and too narrow to allow the hand to go deep into the pocket to retrieve small items. The cord could also be stronger and flatter. I would not buy this item again.

string cuts your neck,

I did quite a bit of overseas traveling over the last two years and I bought one of these thinking it would be a safe place to keep my passport and some cash. I found that the narrow string (made of silk I think) is so narrow it cuts into my neck after only a little time wearing it. Maybe I have thin skin, but it felt very uncomfortable.
I also didn't really like using this type of money pouch around my neck because if you travel in the tropics as I did, and wear a shirt that's loose in the neck, the strings are pretty obvious hanging down from your neck - like wearing a sign saying "hey bad guys, I have all my valuables hanging around my neck!" I preferred a competitor's model with a thicker strap that I tied around my waste and wore under my pants, although truth be told I hid most of my traveling money elsewhere. I'm sure I looked kind of silly digging this sort pouch out of my pants when I needed to show my passport, especially since it's so hard to untie with your pants up. By the way don't let the perceived need for this type of item make you overly paranoid about foreign travel. We Americans can't let the Europeans have all the fun. I had more than a few foreign adventures in some somewhat dicey places and other than giving me a little peace of mind, I've had no practical need for hiding things in a pouch like this. In fact, people almost everywhere have been amazingly hospitable.

This review is from: Eagle Creek Travel Gear Undercover Silk Neck Pouch,Tan (Apparel)
Excellent product, never felt it on my body unless I reached up and touched it. Carried on average 6K of euros in it as well as our passports. Since no one takes travelers checks anymore, the easiest and safest way to transport your money while traveling.
