Since 2000 I've had several periods when I've done a lot of traveling. Around 2001, I purchased an Eagle Creek shoulder bag that I carried with me everywhere I went; very handy for sunglasses, pda, wallet, cell phone, etc. That bag was still in pretty good shape after all these years, but I wanted something a little bigger (yet not too big), that would be slightly more rigid in shape (the old bag is very floppy). In any event, I purchased this one and have been delighted with it.

Just got back to California from a week-long trip to Chicago, etc., and the bag was perfect for traveling; it held everything I needed. I highly recommend it. Also, it's just big enough that you are unlikely to walk away after eating at a restaurant and leave it hanging on a chair, or forget and leave it somewhere--you'll know if you don't have it with you!

Carries everything I need, including a couple books and some magazines, my camera, as well as the usual (phone, ipod, etc.). Yet, it is still compact with an excellent adjustable shoulder strap. Perfect for me.

I have used this bag as a way to carry around things I use on a daily basis. In particular I carry around my net-book, power adapter and assorted accessories. This is a great companion bag and blows the doors of a standard laptop bag for carrying around a net-book. I love the quality of Eagle Creek and this is a great solution for daily use.
