About the Author

Jane Feather was born in Cairo, Egypt, and grew up in the south of England. She was trained as a social worker and, after moving with her husband and three children to New Jersey, pursued her career in psychiatric social work. She started writing after she relocated her family to Washington, D.C. Her other Avon Books romances include The Eagle and the Dove, Silver Nights, and Bold Destiny.

I absolutely loved this book!!! Fantastic story, page-turner, couldn't put it down and what-have-you. The thought of 'a soul in exchange for a kingdom'...passionate and romantic. Jane's detailed description of the Alhambra...so true. This book got me interested in Ancient Spanish history all over again. Note: Know this is purely fiction but adding Boabdil el chico to the story made it almost believably true. Also, Muley Hassan is in fact a Caliph before Boabdil's reign but it is actually Muley Ali Hassan. Overall great read...recommend it.

Jane Feather has made her characters in the Eagle and the Dove so vibrant and compelling that I was quite bereft at the books conclusion. I was so moved by Sarita's passion and by Abul's loving sacrifice for his soul mate. It was hard for me to put this book down each night! I really loved this book!!!

This book is so boring. I tried my best to at least read half way through but was not able. Think twice before attempting this one.
