5.0 out of 5 stars Best Sunglasses on the planet
These were designed by NASA, so that alone should tell you something.

1. They reduce glare and UV
2. Actually make some colors more vivid and bright.
3. If you are overlooking "green" trees or our blue ocean (Like Hawaii), they are absolutely incredible.

Once you use these, you will never buy another pair of any other brand again...

2.0 out of 5 stars Damaged on Arrival
I bought these as a gift, and when he opened them they were broken at the temple. I'm not sure if they were shipped like that or it happened on the way, but the quality of the frames was extremely disappointing for the price of the glasses. I've gotten 10 dollar pairs that feel more solid than that. Yes, I know, the lenses were designed by NASA, but it's hard to...

5.0 out of 5 stars Says it like it is!, May 13, 2010

I've just replaced a lost pair because the Eagle Eye performance is not advertising hype. I am 76 and do not need glasses to drive per opthalmologist and license bureau, but find the Eagle Eye sunglasses sharpen my vision and seem restful to the eyes around town or on road trips. In very bright sunlight I have even been able to read print in a paperback novel with the sunglasses, but without my reading glasses (while parked, of course). I got my first pair of Eagle Eyes about six years ago and highly recommend them for performance, looks and durability.

These are a great pair of sunglasses. They really block the suns rays when I drive. Now when I drive the sunlight isn't painfully shot into my eyes during my morning communte. Great product and cheaper than the first website I saw them on.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love these!, January 8, 2012

Colors are so vibrant through these glasses. I use these for driving, and they make such a difference. Do not expect these to block very much light. When driving into the sun, you may still need to use your visor. The polarizing lenses make a noticeable difference

Very nice quality product. Have previously owned Eagle Eyes type glasses and will no longer buy anything else. Highly recommend this product. Only wish they were a little cheaper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blocks Glare, UV and Blue light well and theyre cool... but wierd?, September 20, 2011
This review is from: Eagle Eyes Aviator / Gunmetal* Sunglasses (Apparel)
Ok, so ill say that these sunglasses definitely do what they say. They're polarized, block glares over oceans/water, and also block sun rays and that "white-blue" light that always blinds us. For example, on an extremely bright day on the water, if you looked at the clouds, the suns reflection off the water and the UV/Blue light will blind you while distorting the clouds from the blue sky. With these on, it will still be just as "clear and bright," but you wont get a glare off of the water and will be able to see a cloud's fine definition compared to the sky. Simply phenomenal.

However, there is one weird part to the glasses. Have you ever worn ski goggles that are tinted yellow? They are the same idea as these, where they try to block out blue light. The only difference is your eyes adjust to the goggle's tinting, because it isnt BLOCKING the blue light. Eagle Eyes blocks this light, so your vision stays in a constant state of greenish hue. This is good, because it proves Eagle Eye's technology, but sometimes you will be unable to determine greens from blues, and certain colors will change their hue towards the lower end of the visual light spectrum. Kinda annoying in certain situations, but a life saver in others.

I would definitely recommend these sunglasses. My only word of warning to buyers would be the REASON to buy them. For example, you wouldn't buy a convertible to pull trailers, nor would you buy a huge truck/SUV for your hour commute to work every day. These cars each serve their own purposes in certain situations, just like these sunglasses do. For everyday use, you would be better off with buying a $10 pair of Wal-Mart knockoff sunnies. If they get damaged (theyre made to take a beating) you wont care, and they just shade your eyes - nothing special. However, for situations where you need clearer vision like: boating, direct sun areas, skiing, beach, driving, etc. - then you need these. They're of higher technology, more expensive, and deliver more properties when compared to the average sunglasses. Like the Convertible/SUV analogy, buy both, but use em for different reasons.

NOTE: Please buy them from here, and not "[...]." I bought them there, and they had "technical difficulties" with my order. They couldnt find it, sent it to the wrong address, and didnt charge my card until I called them about my order status two weeks after I ordered it. A whole MONTH later, they finally arrived at my CORRECT doorstep, and i love em. But the problems it took to get them were completely REDICULOUS!!!

Hope this hepled!

I give it two stars because the case actually seemed really nice, and I did like the *idea* of the lenses. Hopefully their higher end models actually have really nice frames.
