I liked the book. It didn't have as much action as the other Alex Rider books but it was still really good. To get this book you might want to read the others in the series first.

Alex goes on vacation with Sabina and her family again. One day when they get back from town they find the place they had been staying had been bombed. Sabinas mom was ok but her...

A Kid's Review
While Alex is enjoying his vacation in southern France with Sabina (his girlfriend) and her family, he spots Yassen Gregorovich, the assassin who killed his uncle, Ian Rider. Shortly afterward, a `dreadful accident' puts a quick end to the vacation. When Alex discovers Yassen's cell phone has a speed dial, he dials the number and hears the voice of super-celebrity Damian Cray. Once Alex returns to London and tries to contact MI6, they don't believe him. After failing to convince MI6 of Cray's guilt, Alex sets off to prove it himself. His quest leads him to the headquarters of Cray Software Technology in Amsterdam. At the end of the book, Alex has uncovered a truth that has been concealed from him for his entire life, and will alter his entire future.

Horowitz has created another superb novel starring Alex Rider, the first (and possibly last) teenager to work for MI6. This book is amazing. As is to be expected of Horowitz, Eagle Strike is action-packed to the brim. With car and motorcycle chases, exploding hotdog stands, hidden explosives, and bullfighting, Eagle Strike will keep you on the edge of your seat, even once you've read it through. The finish is stellar and forces you to guess about the next in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fabulous, February 7, 2007
A Kid's Review
I loved this book. I have only read the Alex Rider series up to this book but out of the books I have read in the series, this was the best. There were barely any boring bits and it was impossible to put down. It is very exciting and it completely sucks you in.

The story begins in the south of France where Alex and his friend Sabina are on holiday. While on the beach, Alex notices Yassen Gregorovich on a boat. Yassen, of course, is the ruthless assassin who killed Alex's uncle, Ian Rider. Although Alex has been seeking revenge, he decides to ignore him. The result was that the house Sabina's parents had rented was destroyed in an explosion and Sabina's father had been almost killed. Alex was sure that he was the target, so he sets out to find Yassen.

Alex gets on to the boat after beating up one of Yassen's accomplishes and finds a gun. He comes face to face with Yassen but is unable to kill him him. Yassen then captures Alex and forces him into a bull fight. Alex manages to escape and dials the number that Yassen had dialed before Sabina's house had been destroyed. He is shocked to find that the person on the recieving end is Damien Cray.

Damien Cray is the world's most popular pop star and has done many things to save the environment and other people. Cray despises drugs and tries his best to save the environment. His latest project is the gameslayer, a video game consol that is extremely powerful. So naturally, Alex is shocked to find that his number was dialed by a contract killer.

Alex goes to MI6 to convince them that Damien Cray is not who he seems to be but they dismiss his case. Determined, Alex, along with Jack, tries himself to bring Cray to justice. While spying on Cray, Alex discovers a plot of Cray's called 'Eagle Strike' but Alex has no idea what those words mean. He also discovers that he was not the target of the bomb in Sabina's house.

Thus, begins an adventure involving high speed chases, the international drug trade, air plane hijackings, nuclear missiles, and Air Force One: the American President's Airplane. Although the plot may seem a little far fetched, it only adds to the excitement. A must read, I absolutely loved this book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves an action packed novel.

Eagle Strike

Anthony Horowitz wrote this book. Anthony likes to keep you on the edge of your seat, and you always want to read to find out what happens next. The book, Eagle Strike, is about a boy named Alex who is somewhat forced into being a spy, by taking his uncles spot .In the first three books he goes on dangerous adventures for MI6. In Eagle Strike, Alex spots an assassin that he has met before, on one of his missions, while Alex is on vacation. Alex found out whom the assassin is working for this time and tells MI6.MI6 doesn't believe Alex, because the man the assassin is working for is rich, nice, and a famous singer, Damian Cray. Alex investigates by himself. Alex has now been caught by Cray and taken a key that would later be used to launch nuclear bombs from Air Force One. Damian needs to get that key back so he kidnaps a close friend of Alex's, Sabina Pleasure. Cray takes the two on hi adventure to Air Force One.

4.0 out of 5 stars Eagle Strike, October 25, 2004
A Kid's Review
Alex Rider is on his 4th adventure in Europe. It starts when Alex is on a vacation with his girlfriend Sabina. When he's on the beach he sees his prime enemy Yassen Gregorovich. He wonders why he would be there so he decides to investigate. Once he's on their trail an absurb bomb goes off nearly killing Sabina's father. But why? He finds out why that happened and discovered that her dad had secret info and links to why Yassen is there. He figuers out that pop star Damain Cray has a plan to do something! To do what? Destroy the world like in the past? But why? You'll have to read it to find out what happens!

Anthony Horowitz is the author of this incredible series. I think that he does an excellent job of displaying adventure, horror, and in a way love. It's a great book that either gender will like. (Unless you have a weak stomach, hate good books and are in no mood for a thrilling adventure!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Eagle Strike, January 24, 2007
A Kid's Review
What would you do if your life changed in just one day? Well Alex Rider's did. Alex Rider is a fourteen year old boy who was forced to work for MI6 (the British Intelligence Agency) and go on many spy missions. He is the main character in the book Eagle Strike. The book Eagle Strike is the fourth in the Alex Rider Series. This book is loaded with spectacular detail. The words were tremendous. Right when I started reading this book it felt like my eyes were glued to the page and if I pulled away my eyes would be ripped out.

In this book Alex goes on a mission were the bad guy is a psychotic and insanely rich pop star! The pop stars name is Damian Cray and he just happens to be working with a contract killer and Alex's worst enemy, Yassan Gregorovitch. Alex soon finds out what Damian Cray is aiming to do and it involves nuclear activity. This book is very good but it makes more sense if you've read the other books. These books are Stormbreaker, Point Blank, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike, Scorpia, and Ark Angel.

During this book I wondered why Damian Cray was against drugs so much. I also wondered why MI6 wouldn't help Alex. Anthony Horowitz's Alex Rider Series is a violent and action packed series, so I would recommend it to fourth graders and up. If you like James Bond you will probably like this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alex Rider Series is..., January 19, 2007
Okay, this series is basically amazing. I started reading this series when I was twelve and I've read the full series at least four times. I read the final book, Ark Angel a total of six times. These books are amazing. The writing style is awesome and the story is PRETTY believable. (Although some things do stretch a bit.)

5.0 out of 5 stars The latest addition to the Alex Rider saga...., January 3, 2005
A Kid's Review
Eagle Strike marks the forth installment to the Alex Rider series. Like the other books in the series, Eagle Strike has your heart thumping at the turn of every page. The balance of action, suspense, and espionage is excellent. The book will leave you wanting to become a secret agent yourself. I loved reading the book, and I was sad when I was done reading it. As with all of the books in the series, I just wanted the story to continue. Once I picked up this book and started reading, I couldn't put it down! I think that this book would be an excellent gift, and if you're looking for something great and exciting to read, this would be it. The reading experience that comes out of this forth novel is exhilerating. I give Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz 5 stars without hesitation.

5.0 out of 5 stars HEY!- love suspense?...THIS IS YOUR BOOK!-by Fobio, October 27, 2004
A Kid's Review
Alex Rider is back again, this time he gets into the case himself, because the MI6 still won't fully trust his instincts. Alex is on vacation with Sabina in southern France, when Alex spots contract killer, Yassen. That's when the mission begins. There's kidnapping, fights, deaths, and best of all, SECRETS! And Alex discovers something that totally changes his life! The guy Alex is after, is a super-star who everyone loves, who wants peace int the world so badly, he's willing to kill innocent people! CONFUSING?-YEAH!- this guy is a nut! (i think fame has gotten to his head!) The guy is so crazy he puts Alex and Sabinas lives on the line!- But you know Alex!

I couldn't put the nook DOWN! It'll put you on the edge of your chair in suspician! I really thought this book was well written, so that you'd ask yourself questions throughout the book. and the story is in someplaces misleading, but that's what makes it such a great book!

In this book, you'll learn a lot about alex.-and his feelings and self-less-ness. and i love putting myself in his place! I can't wait to read Scorpia!
