Tear Jerker!!!!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Eagle's Song (Savage Destiny) (Paperback)
This was another of those tear jerkers I have ever read.It really made me cry when Lone Eagle(Zeke)died in this book.I even felt the pain that Abbey felt and cried with her especially when she went to where he was buried.I could hardly stand it with the tears I couldn't see the page. It's another book I won't soon forget. But it also gave Abbey strength to carry on with her family.

Heart broken for Abbie.,

Rosanne Bittner is the best author I've ever read, althoughthis book continues the story of Abbie and her heart break over losing Zeke,I feel Rosanne could have shortened the time poor Abbie had to wait to reunite with Zeke. But NO-ONE could do better. Grab your tissues, you"ll need them. All through this book I really missed Zeke. He became like part of my family, they all did. I've collected the entire series. I think you will to.

Simply AWESOME!,

Greetings from Singapore, it is where I am right now. I loved it!!! It was very touching and I cried on those "goodbye's scenes" the characters are all so real and I felt that I was part of it too. It was a beautiful ending for Abigail, I loved that woman so much courage and life in her. The reunion of two brothers, Wolf Blood and Jeremy touches my soul. I felt victory for Zeke and Georganne when they discovered the gold pot. Hawk made use of his knownledge and fought it out in the legal way was very satisfying to me. I love the ending saga of "Savage Destiny."

I Don't often cry when I read a book, but from the the first book to the last I cried each time. I have read the series twice now, and getting ready to read it again. So I'd Better get the tissues ready.

Would have preferred that she worked the ending into Book 6 instead of writing a 7th,
This review is from: Eagle's Song (Savage Destiny) (Paperback)
The Savage Destiny series is the best I have ever read and I will read anything and everything that I can find by Rosanne Bittner. I was so emotionally involved in the Monroe family's lives that I couldn't stop thinking of them for a very long time after finishing the series (and I still do!) But I think Ms. Bittner could have wrapped the series up with book 6. I wanted to know the rest of Abbie's story and considering the expert way the author has of seamlessly advancing the story quickly through a number of years, I think she could have worked it into book 6 without losing any of its impact. Book 7, which chronicles the lives of Abbie's children and grandchildren was well written but I simply could not get interested in the lives of the grandchildren which took up large portions of the book. I found myself rushing through those parts to get back to Abbie and her immediate children. But by that time, Abbie didn't even seem like Abbie anymore and I realize she would be a changed person as a result of events in Book 6. However, I think it was 10 years after Book 6 that Ms. Bittner finally wrote Book 7 and during that time she certainly evolved as a writer; it was my feeling that maybe too much time had passed between the writing of those two books that perhaps she wasn't able to completely recapture the original Abbie again (spoken as if I am an expert :) -- but thats just my own impression. In the end, I skimmed extended-family portions of the book to find out how it concluded for my all-time favorite heroine and that part didn't disappoint. I cried myself through half a box of tissues, but I could have done without the extended family's stories. Maybe if theirs had been a separate series, a different saga and new set of characters unrelated to Savage Destiny, I would have enjoyed reading about them more.
