4.0 out of 5 stars Keeps mt ears warm, but a little hard to store
The ear warmers work really well. The are light, yet thick enough to keep out the wind and cold. I'm very pleased with them in that regards. My only complaint is that the insides are made out of some form of metal. They are flexible enough to mold around my head, but not flexible enough to collapse them for storage. As a result, the are big and bulky to store. I...

1.0 out of 5 stars Disposable Ear Warmers
If the price of something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Such is the case here. Private Island says these are $20 EarPro ear warmers marked down to the incredibly low price of just $1.05. I feel sorry for anyone who has paid $20, or $10, or even $5. These are $1-$2 ear warmers. They should consider using the word "disposable" in the product description, as...

They should consider using the word "disposable" in the product description, as this would be more accurate. If the build quality was any lower, they would be useless. Perhaps this would be ideal for someone who is always losing their warmers and needed a box full of cheap facsimiles available to simply reach in and pull out a new set every time the need arose, but that's not what I was looking for, so these are going back.

Update 01-28-10: I've noticed the price of these fluctuates day-to-day between $1 and $8.

Buyer beware: this is NOT a replica of the 180. These are poorly made, no mechanism for folding- just a piece of bent wire with fabric sewn around it.

If you are looking for something to warm your ears, absolute function above fashion, then maybe these are for you. However, they are not at all substantial and do not adjust. So it had better not be too cold, and you had better not have too small/large of a head.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Product, January 8, 2008
This review is from: EarPro Fleece Ear Warmers Very warm! (Black) (Apparel)
This product is terrific - a little big for me (wish I could make it a tad bit smaller for a snugger fit), but it certainly keeps my ears warm while shoveling during a cold, Maine snow storm.

A piece of itchy, thin cloth strecthed over a coat hanger is the most accurate likeness I can describe. They don't even fit or stay on my child, let alone an adult. Very disappointed! Please do not waste your time or money:(

Well, they worked well while they lasted but they didn't last very long. Got them for my husband last Christmas and they just broke today... While they were on his head. The plastic isn't too sturdy or whatever.

For the cost of the item (+ shipping) it does the job of an earwarmer just fine but it is bulkier and not as snug as a 180.

1.0 out of 5 stars ear warmers, November 30, 2010
This review is from: EarPro Fleece Ear Warmers Very warm! (Black) (Apparel)
Purchased a pair of ear warmers from Private Island last February.
Was pleased with style and basic function of this type of ear warmer; however, they turned out to be junk. I wore them only a FEW times. When I went to put them on this Winter the PLASTIC inner workings broke making them useless.

1.0 out of 5 stars I wouldnt recommend this product, December 27, 2010

This looked like a fluffy ear warmer on the amazon.com website. I wasnt expecting a magical product at $4. When I received it realized that it is not even worth $4. Very bad. The band is smaller in size. I am an avg sized person with normal head size :). But, the band doesnt fit properly for me. The material is so thin that it doesnt keep my ears warm. I dont recommend this product.

These are not even close to being very warm they are pretty much worthless. I would not buy these again and would tell anyone else to save their money and look for something else.
