EARL WEAVER IS QUITE A CHARACTER. HIS MANAGING CAREER WAS ONE OF THE BEST IN MODERN DAY. EARL ALWAYS PUT ON A GREAT SHOW WHILE ARGUING WITH THE UMPS. ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO SEE WHAT HE WOULD DO WHENEVER I SAW THE ORIOLES PLAY. FROM THE LATE 60'S TO THE EARLY 80'S BALTIMORE WAS USUALLY A CONTENDER EVERY YEAR. AUTHOR TERRY PLUTO WHO HAS WRITTEN MANY FINE BOOKS DOES A SOLID JOB COVERING THE FIREY AND ABRASIVE WEAVER. THIS BOOK ENDS AFTER THE 1982 SEASON. THE ORIOLES WOULD WIN THEIR LAST WORLD SERIES IN 1983. WEAVER LEFT SHORTLY AFTER THAT AND LEFT A LEGACY. I RECOMMEND THIS FOR ALL ORIOLE FANS. A NICE READ.
