Buy it because it is worth it.,

This review is from: Earl Mindell's Secret Remedies (Paperback)
I've gotten to the point that I just buy anything by Dr. Mindell. Everything he produces is packed with good information that is understandable and usable. He also doesn't fall into that trap of just repeating what he wrote in previous books. Each one shows thorough research and an understanding of how these nutritional supplements are an asset to our health. A site that I have found which dovetails nicely with Mindell's research is PapaNature. I have used Mindell's book to double check their documentation and between that and their good product choices I have been impressed. They must have Mindell's books in their own library. Everyone should.

THE Alternative Medicine Book!,

This review is from: Earl Mindell's Secret Remedies (Paperback)
Books about vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other supplements, such as those Mindell and others have written, are great. But I've got thus-and-so problem; what should I do about it? This book answers those questions. You've just been diagnosed with arthritis? Try the items mentioned in this book, plus the other suggestions (including the dreaded "eat less and exercise" :) ) Mindell proposes. EVERYONE interested in healing with fewer prescription drugs should read this book!

This review is from: Earl Mindell's Secret Remedies: The Essential Guide to Treating Common Ailments with Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs, and Other Cutting-Edge Supplements (Mass Market Paperback)
I agree with the other two reviews up until the date of this one. Although this book was published in 1997 the information it contains is really not outdated in any way. You can see the list of items in the table of contents (click cover for "look inside" feature) that this book covers. Each ailment is briefly described along with some general comments and suggestions. Following these descriptions are individual vitamins, minerals, herbs and personal advice that can assist with each ailment. You may find yourself wanting to know more about the vitamins, minerals and herbs so I recommend any book by this author to supplement information you seek on these topics. A proper diet and keeping properly hydrated is key to getting the most out of these supplements and don't overdose!
