I am grateful for Dr. Mindell and his great Vitamin Bible. I would find myself sleeping less and less and becoming more and more fatigued. I t was Dr Mindell" suggestion in this book that showed me the light in the darkness (pun not intended). By following his sugggestions I am now a sweet sleeper. I am delightfully suprised to learn that Dr. Mindell is now personally formulating a vitamins supplements line exclusively for one company. I am excited to know that I can have access to them. Along with the vitamin bible My life will be superb. long live the Vitamin Bible

WOW! What a book. One and a half years ago I didn't know much about Dr. Mindell. I found that this book the "Vitamin Bible" is translated into 30 languages and sells in 54 different countries. It was written in 1979 and still sells 10,000 copies every single week. Once again, WOW! What is even more amazing is that Dr. Mindell has now introduced his own line of Vitamins and Minerals using his 30+ years of research. I was lost in the health food stores as to what vitamins to take and to the quality of those vitamins. Now, the man of nutrition, the one and only Dr. Earl Mindell, has taken the guess work out of it. This book alone is all the credibility that I needed, not to mention all of his other best sellers. His products are definitely worth taking a look at, as they come with a 60-day unconditional empty bottle guarantee. I know I'm supposed to give a review of his book, "The Vitamin Bible", but really his book and his supplements go hand in hand. His book(s) and products has made a tremendous impact on my health.

Since my wife & I found this book, it has been THE reference source for vitamins and minerals. The organization isn't the greatest at times; it's not easy, for example, to look up "potassium" and find everything you want to know in one spot. However, the comprehensive index will make up for that. I've already ordered the "21st Century" update edition.

To describe your own book as a bible, you must have a lot of information in it to back that up. Earl Mindell does a great job of doing just that! He gives his own researched description of what kinds of vitamins everyone should be taking at all times, and then describes special treatments for ailments from bad breath and cancer to sexually transmitted diseases and wrinkles. He also describes the power of proteins and describes how certain drugs deprive the body of vitamins. Caffeine is one of the biggest robbers out there. He offers herbal help for people hooked on drugs like marijuana and cocaine. Minerals and enzymes are explored, as well as why carbohydrates are needed in one's diet -- and why avoiding them won't help people lose weight.

Mindell's book truly puts a lot of myths and misinformation to rest. His advice has helped me make it through a lot of worry, illness and has answered a lot of my health questions. Keep Mindell on hand.

I tried Mindell's remedy for headaches (page 221). One part of his remedy called for taking 200 mg of b-complex per day. When I told a health care professional that I was taking 200 mg of b-complex per day he said that it was too much. I got a second opinion and he said the same thing. I cut back the dosage from 200 mg to 150 mg per day and I developed anemia, my toe nails started to turn black and fall out. I developed hypoacidity as well as liver problems and my hair started to turn gray. I had never had these problems in the past. Bottom line...in some cases the dosages that Mindell is advocating are too large.

Dr. Mindell has written the best book on vitamins by far! This book is very interesting and fun to read. The format is clear and easy to understand. I highly recommened it to anyone who is seeking better health and understanding about the roles that vitamins play in our lives. Don't purchase vitamins until you read this book!

This is the best vitamin book I have ever seen. I purchased my first copy in 1986 before my son was born. Mindell not only tells you what the vitamin can do for you (as most vitamin books do) but also the deficiencies and toxicity levels related to each vitamin. My favorite part relating to each vitamin is the best natural sources section. Store bought vitamins should supplement your life not be your only source of a particular nutrient. It has helped my entire family to eat better (even my pets). The advice obtained from this book has allowed me to live an enhanced life with more energy, better health and a more alert mind. I have recommended it to all my family members and friends. I have even used it as stocking stuffers and gifts. I believe that it is the most loving gift one can give because it really shows that you care about them and their well being.

Mr. Mindell continues to provide the reader with concise, accurate information regarding the usage of vitamins for health reasons.

If you desire to participate in your own healthcare - then this book will be beneficial to you as well. Use this book to help when deciding on the purchase of nutritional supplements or in cooking healthier.
