The 188 page book had mostly one line entries with names and not much detail. There is an index, listing surnames only. If you have a very common surname you could be flipping through the book for some time only to find that isn't the right first name. If you are lucky enough to find someone of interest there is a date and a page number so you can write to the Tenn. State Library for a copy and get more detail. I was not so lucky. I wanted a bit more detail on each court record, in a perfect world it would have been nice to know what surnames were included before deciding to buy it.
