David Grisman playing Bluegrass...Yeah!,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Early Dawg (MP3 Download)
Bill Monroe is the Father of Bluegrass mandolin, Frank Wakefield "split the mandolin atom," and David Grisman harnessed the energy from it. If I were a mandolin player, I would want to do it just like 'Early Dawg.' Thanks, Gris, for putting these projects out. I also love Del McCoury and Bill Keith's great contribution to the music on this CD. All I can say is "more! More! MORE!"

Caravan,
This review is from: Early Dawg (Audio CD)
Just the string version of Duke Ellington's "Caravan" makes this worth acquiring it. And an early Del McCoury's high lonesome vocals are a bonus. David Grisman so totally rocks.
